I guess it helps to learn to draw humans first, and internalize human body language etc.. Then it's easier to express the precise emotion you want.
Since humans have an infinite spectrum of expressions, but cartoon characters typically have maybe 5 and then a million ren and stimpy "facial witherings" that don't really count on the grounds of them being mostly gags, it's a bit easier to pick a face from the human library and translate it into cartoon form
Nothing wrong with facial witherings but they're not very good as "expressions of emotion"

I have to agree with KineticMint here, please don't ever stop drawing Silver, especially in your unique style and interpretation. I also love the missing tooth and the holes in his ears you always draw him with... not only that but thanks to you I keep liking Silver more and more even though I thought that wasn't even possible HAH

As always, I can't decide what I like best. I adore them all, but I'm partial to Angry (looks like some poor unfortunate soul is gonna get their bucket kicked), Out of it, the entire third row (Pained looks like he's being forced to do something he'd reeeeaaally rather not be doing and he's desperately trying to keep it together lol, and Evil is just amazing 
I'm not certain I want to know who/what he's looking at in the Perverted one, pfft.
I actually thought he was wearing a wig in the Hysterical one until I realized it was a The Shining parody, ha. Thinking about it, that might actually have made it creepier than it already was to begin with.
Okay, actually, if I had to pick, my favorite would have to be Fake. It's like his response to someone asking "Are you sure this idea will work?" or "This outfit doesn't make me look ugly, right?". I'm just in love with everything about this one in particular. <3 <3 <3
