This is a beautiful piece, really interestingly rendered. You treated it almost like one would treat a vector work. It is very captivating. I don't understand the gray area, but it reminds me of a masquerade mask

Beautiful image, well done. It's unusual to have clear seperations between the different tonalities, I think that adds to the charm of this piece, other people would have simply tried to make the transitions smooth.

wow in gouache??!!! this is amazing, did u work over it in layers or cover each colour/shade separately?
I love the colours, they keep it warm enough to be relatable, but still mysterious and with an air of unattainability and sophistication

yeah gouache@_@ it's tough cuz im not very good at water based medium....and craftmanship happens to b one of the biggest and most important thg in that class..."the paint has to be so flat and even...not to thick not too thin~blah blah blah"
