Description Finished part 02 for the body and eyes!

If you have question don't be shy and ask.

I tried to check up my phrasing a little more to be sure everything would be okay. But if you see errors I don't mind getting corrected.^^
(It was the first time in two years that I had to check up in a english-french dictionary for some words.XD)

English supervision by the awesome

hope it will help!

I found this while looking for a good way to make a Disturbing Doll from Ib (game). This is a good tutorial and I get the general idea of how to go about it, though how do you go about making the hair? That's the part I'm stuck on, but I really like your tutorial it looks really helpful and I'm sure it'll be that way too.

Kohane-hime In reply to SoraAvalon [2012-11-05 02:23:32 +0000 UTC]

Thank you. It's true that I should do a tutorial for the hair. (You are not the first one to ask.)

Sadly I don't have a lot of time to sew or make craft this days.
Still I could always tell you how I do.

I cut strips of felt in a more or less very allonged oval shape. (cutting them too straigt would not fit the shape of the head well.)
I start with shorter (at the base of the neck) oval strips that I lightly sew on the head. Then I make many more of different lenght that I gradually fix on the head with a glue gun. (From top to base.)

This is the best I can give you right now sorry.^^

This is awesome! Is there any special way to make it sitting?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Kohane-hime In reply to RiverEcho [2012-10-14 01:47:14 +0000 UTC]

Hummm With how you sew the legs they should be able to bend to make the doll sit even is it won't really hold the pose.
I must admit I didn't create them to be sitting all the time.. but here something you could do.

If you want to make them hold the sitting position you could use some thin wire. ( that kind of wire [link] It's just for showing the kind of wire leave out the knots in the image.XD)

You can fit that wire between the clothes and the body of the doll. (It must support at least half of the back and the legs. 1 wire by leg) Good to turn up both end of the wire so it will be smooth and won't damage the fabric.

Another way would be to put the wire IN the body of the doll...But in that case my pattern would need changing because the legs and body would need to be in one piece where I can fit the wire. (Wire only in the legs won't work.)

Sorry Hope this help.

oh thanks i seen it after i had commented x3 trying to do a round wolf plush ^^ do you have some tip to help me with he ears?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Kohane-hime In reply to Reiplaz [2012-08-19 02:27:33 +0000 UTC]

For ears? Hmmmm...the best would be either to sew them in the main stiches of the head since it's an animal. That or, once the head is finished (that eman stuffed and closed) sew them to the head like that.

Still since you are doing a wolf I think you should maybe more use that tutorial.

It's a jolteon tutorial and the look of it might be more fitting.

Holy hell, sorry this took me so long to read. Work, appointment, gallery, blah, blah, blah....

Just some grammar suggestions/corrections. Hope this helps out. Some of it is rewording, so if you don't like it, please don't feel like you have to use it.
1)To start the body of your doll, you will need a pattern for sizing. Remember the size of the pattern needs to be a little bit bigger that the actual body.

2)Once you are sure of the size, cut the body pieces in two felt sheets. (Same trick that we used for the head)

5) Now you can invert it. If it is difficult, you can use a pen to help you out.

6) Once you are done, just close it up.

8)Arms and legs are tough to invert, so once again, a pen might help you greatly.

12)Sewing the arms and legs can be pretty tough! You can do it! Stay strong!

13)Continue to sew until you think it’s strong enough. You don’t want your doll to lose an arm halfway through the process.

15)Now the eyes! For placement, pin the buttons with needles so that you will know where you want them and can check for evenness. Choose a thread of similar color for blending.

16) Sew the buttons carefully into place. Don’t worry if it not perfect. Buttons are easy to take off and fix.
