Description
So here are influences that are responsible for the way I draw... (I have a lot of things that "inspire" me, but I wouldn't call them influences in my art style...? If that makes sense.)

*Sailor Moon / Naoko Takeuchi:

Haha, literally Sailor Moon is the reason I started drawing hardcore in my childhood. I started off tracing out of a children's book that belonged to my sister (where that is i have no clue) and got tired of drawing the same thing so started to do my own thing, lol.

^ Apparently that was 1995, and I'm totally giving away my age, but whatever.

*Disney:

Responsible for me drawing princesses all the time as a child, and probably the gateway drug into Moon Princesses fighting evil in sailor fukus.

*Fashion Illustration:

A recent thing actually, since I took a class in it, and not sure if it has affected my art quite yet, but I'm sure it's made my art better somehow....

Btw, the art there is by Antoinette Fleur, a French artist who does really fun colorful pieces:

* Rose Besch:

Actually I've admired her work before DA, she used to do a lot of fanart of Rival Schools back in the day. Too bad she doesn't have any of that fanart posted, you can really see the jump in her skill level and proves that practice over time makes for a better artist. (Her Rivals Schools artwork was good too, lol)

*Peach Girl / Miwa Ueda

The first time I saw this manga in the bookstore I was immediately drawn to it. And hence my love for juicy lips and hair all over the place began.

*Fashion Design:

Weeee, fashion design, it rules my world without me even knowing it. Anyway, the pic here is a sketch by Valentino (which was designed for Kate Middleton's wedding, but we all know she didn't use it)

*Tokidoki / Simone Legno:

Cute. Cute. Cute. I remember the first time I saw Tokidoki, they were only on purses. Now it's everywhereeeeee, lol

*Derek Santiago

Responsible for excessive eyelashes, lol. He's really an amazing artist though, his style is like... culture, pin-ups and urban art blended in one. I'd love to commission something one day, but his prices are not in my budget right now, lol.

Oh Capcom art, yes, there many times I'd just sit around and flip through the game's galleries or instruction book just to admire the art. Then proceed to try to draw it.

* Chris Sanders:

Weeeee, more pin-up influence.

*Barbie

I love Barbie. Have you watched "Life in the Dreamhouse"? It's the best.

*Tetsuya Nomura

The same feels as Capcom art, lol.

*Music

Music can change the whole mood of my drawings, so I have to be careful sometimes on what's playing the the background while I sketch away. I wonder if I'm the only person like this...?

And that's gotta be it as far as style goes. As for technique, that's a different story, altogether, lol.
