I have had such an intense art block and stress headache the last few days that it frustrated me into actually being angry. So I decided to jump down a hole I probably shouldn't have and not only made ANOTHER OC end me now but she is also a Captain, of squad Seven specifically. And so in the span of like, one hour that it took me to make this I came up with a short backstory on this little shiet.

So we introduce Sakurana Matsunami, originally a servant in the Kuchiki manor she was a late bloomer in developing her spiritual pressure in which all of a suddenly one day she woke up one morning and enough to be considered a soul reaper. And so was kicked out sent off to the soul reaper academy, she later passed yada yada eventually made her way to the third seat of squad seven. During the TYBW fight with the Quincey's she managed to unlock her bankai and did survive the war. A year later It was either her or Iba (the lieutenant at the time) that was to succeed the now deceased former captain Komomura. Iba, deciding he wasn't worthy enough to succeed his former captain aloud them to pass the rank onto Sakurana (whether he was sober or not at the time honestly is still up for debate). He says he did it because "her heart was strong enough", despite just looking at her the wrong way could send her into tears. He dedicates himself to making sure she is a good example of a Captain.

A few other Captains thinks she falls short of her title since she was suddenly thrust into the position, but she is trying.

I'm a bit disappointed there aren't more open collabs in the fandom, or did I not look hard enough...?
