"Papa got promoted! Papa got promoted!" Two small girls cheered in unison as they ran around the yard, one of them wearing the brand new squad 14 captains robes.

"That robe is not a toy don't run around with it like that!" Ichigo yelled out to them from his place under the comfortable Kotatsu. The girls of course ignored him for their fun, and he let out a sigh.

"Oh let the girls have their fun." Rukia said as she took a welcomed cup of tea from Orihime. "It's worth celebrating." After a long drink from her tea and a happy sigh she looked to Ichigo. "How is that girl doing by the way?"

Rukia referred to Arrancar girl running around with Ichigo's youngest daughter like they were truly siblings. Ichigo's expression did not change as he watched the two girls and his first son Kazui laughing at them. He seemed lost in thought for a moment before answering. "Katsuyu is doing fine, she's fit in like she's part of the family."

"Is that okay?" the captain asked. Orihime piped up this time.

"I for one love having her here, Himawari was so happy to have a new sister-"

"We did not adopt her." Ichigo cut in. He ignored the two looks he got that said 'you totally did' and instead stood up when the girl they had been discussing tripped over the massive robe she'd been wearing and started to cry. It was an odd sight to see considering the little Arrancar was known for her thicker than normal hierro. She probably didn't feel any real pain despite tripping. Ichigo crouched down next to his other daughter and picked the young Arrancar girl up with the gentleness he'd learned from caring for Kazui when he was small. God that was so long ago now.

Katsuyu didn't hesitate to cling to him and he couldn't help but think back on the day's he'd first met her. When she was ignorant of what she was doing and blindly following the wrong people, when she was an Enemy of the Seireitei.

Will I ever draw a story in the proper order? Probably not- WHy is Kazui buff and wearing ripped sleeves? Cause I gave up drawing his sleeves and, to ichigo's dismay, he is part of Squad 11. Kenpachi was sure he'd get the little carrot top.

A little look into how Katsuyu was when she was younger and Hopefully this will lead into an actual story on how Ichigo met Katsuyu and how she became an Asset for the seireitei and Kurosaki family.

Himawari is Ichigo's daughter and was born after he and orihime had already join soul society as residents. so the age gap between her and Kazui is freak BIG. but she doesn't really care.

Rukia had come over to congratulate Ichigo on becoming captain of the new Squad 14, a squad who's purpose is to keep the peace between the new growing Arrancar culture and the Seireitei.
