This is the new court guard structure for my bleach AU, after the civil war.

The squads went from thirteen to nine, since there weren't enough shinigami to fill the rest of the squads. The new system got rid of the lieutenants. Instead, each squad is headed by two captains of near equal power. This means some of the canon characters got a power boost from the canon story! The new captain's robes are plain white with piping with the color from each squad.

Another difference is that the visored and urahara+yourichi are back... The new threat to soul society is enough to bring them back together

So here are the new captains and squads:

Squad 1: Ukitake and Byakuya. This is the squad in charge of the rest of the squads and has the same duties as the original 1st squad

Squad 2: Yourichi and Sui-Feng. This squad is in charge of special operations, same as the old one.

Squad 3: Shinji and Layla (an OC) All the visored are in this division. It is saved for especially dangerous missions.

Squad 4: Isane and Orihime. Medical, same as the the original

Squad 6: Rukia and Kira. Squad five is no longer mentioned because of Aizen. This squad is in charge of the normal operations of soul society.. exorcising hollows and collecting pluses for soul society

Squad 7: Komamura and Hisagi. This squad is in charge of internal security, making sure that the new parasitic entities don't get in. (The things that caused the civil war)

Squad 8: Shunsui and Nanao. This squad performs normal operations, same as the original. Shunsui was blinded in the war, but doesn't want Nanao to fight, so they spend most oftheir time in soul society.

Squad 9: (former squad 12) Urahara and Mayuri. This squad is in charge of research. It is very tense, as the two captains do not get along.

Kido corps: Hachi and Eliot (OC): Same duties as always. However, Eliot spends most of her time with the last group.

Most of these guys I changed slightly in appearance! And they all changed a little in personality haha. Any important characters not up here were either killed or are missing!! OH NOES!

And then we have squad 10, which includes (from left to right) Eliot, Jo, Matt and Cory. Eliot and Cory (originally squad 2) are normal shinigami, and Matt and Jo are visored. This "squad" spends iits time in the human world, searching for the missing and trying to get to the bottom of these new enemies.

The squad of OCs is what my AU focuses on. And I found out I hate writing for canon characters, I'm paranoid they're all going to come out OOC!
