You flee away from the vicious pack of wild dogs, they weren’t far behind you but you managed to disappear down into the tree line. Slowing to a walk to catch your breath you hear rushing water and head towards it. Coming out to a running river you,
A] Follow the river up-stream
B] Cross the river to hide your scent

The cold hits him like a slap to the face, Bean struggles to right himself. Having no idea which direction is up, he flails and panics in the frozen water- it's deeper then he thought it would be.
Even as he swings his short legs he does not feel the bottom, or perhaps he is waving his legs upwards like a dead fly, he can't tell.
His legs are weak from running for so long, and the icey bite of the water numbs them further. As he continues to thrash them in a panic, bubbles block his vision. Bubbles!
Bean follows them upwards and is greeted by a blinding glare from the rising sun, he can feel its warmth even through six feet of water.
With aching legs and bleeding wounds, Bean swims towards the light.

Thank you! it was, even when I was struggling I couldn't find a reference- any pictures like this are just a horsey silhouettes because of the sunlight! I suppose in that way this image is a little inaccurate, but I have to show Bean's cute colouring >.<

[MAIN QUEST]
You follow the river upstream, the night getting darker and darker. It was dire time you look for shelter. Running out of the small amount of light left you find there is no shelter on this side of the river. You cross the river, belly deep in water. After exiting the river and shaking off you leave the area, lifting your head up you;
A] Decide to spend the night by the river bank.
B] Decide to spend the night in a nearby cave.
C] Decide to spend the night among the bushes.
