anyone ever read "neverwhere"? it's a book by neil gaiman... it's totally rockin'.this is how i've always envisioned Door, one of the main characters, and i've never managed to get a decent drawing of her... until now.
i was playing around in photoshop at work and here it is!

That's a lovely Door. My favorite characters were always the wolf and the fox, though.

i've been meaning to get ahold of the mini seriese and check it out. i hear their Door looks a little bit more like "Sandman"s Death, though.

I haven't read the book all the way through, but I do have the mini series on DVD. It's low budget, but it's still pretty cool. In a way that does sort of look like Door. She's cool : )

i love neil gaiman, he's so expressive, "Coraline" is by far my favourite book [not just of his but of all the books I've read]. I'm going to try and watch MirrorMask tomorrow, oh it looks so incredible.
i adore her stockings, for whatever reason i've always admired the way artists portray ripped stockings [i know i know, how odd].

Ah, man. I was so tempted. I read a couple of his other books...and seriously brought this halfway to the register and was like...naaaw. And now I wish I'd gotten it :/
This is really amazingly neat. Her hair is uhmayzing. So many different colourrrrs. I love the style of shading and colouring you did. And those tights? If they're tights. (if not, sorry) look ripped and real and awesome.
