Wicked was absolutely stunning. Waaaaaaaaaaaaay different from the book, but just... amazing. And the Menzel just ROCKED as Elphie. And Christy was great too ^^ Just... such an amazing play. Cant wait to see it again!

read the book, saw the show, and regularly warble to the cd.. haha. i actually had some fan art posted on their official site. i have a link on my current DA journal entry if you wanna check it out. i think i might have a rather poor sketch in my scraps too.. >.>;; love the watercolors, though. they're quite fab. Galinda's face is hilarious, Elphaba looks quite pissed off. per usual. all around good work. ^^

Lord I love Wicked with all my heart and soul, I've seen the broadway version (WITH Idena Menzel thank you very much) and i know all te songs. You really captured the characters perfectly here, it's awsome!

there is not a day that goes by that i don't regret that i missed Idina on broadway. i'm going later this month, though, and i hear her replacement is very good.

That was a very long book, and I can't for the life of me remember half of what happened in it. so many details.... and it's a musical too? anyways, nice drawings. They're way better than the one's I did of elfaba for my book report project a few years back.

I really disliked the book (great idea, but at the end, I was all.. "Huh?") and it was definitely the last thing I woulda chosen to turn into a musical.... but MAN I love their poster.

read the book twice...each time it makes me a little sadder because....well I think your supposed to. I just feel so sorry for Elphaba and you just wish things could have been different for her.

I agree entierly. The book was incredible...I'm amazed that some have called it "dry," as I really don't remember it being so. I had no clue that they had made a musical but the BOOK! Ah...the book. It really was sad but it pulled me into a completely different version of Oz. I never really liked the story as a child but this version blew me away.
Now...ON TO THE ART!
Brilliant. Something about Elphaba's fingers in the right-hand one are particularly arresting. Don't ask me why. I can't get over your beautiful ease with using watercolors. It's a joy, I say. A JOY!
