so i actually finished the other casca sketch (told you this might happen...).
this one is called "shiny objects" because the more recent casca loves them (including puck).
i had to do this and i can't wait to see what happens next.

Actually, what I am afraid of is that her inner Gypsy Fire is about to ignite. Guts was able to let go of his vengeance for her sake, but what if SHE can’t? No longer lost in the comfort of senseless childishness, no longer insane, but her heart is still tainted, what about her wanderer’s sense of PRIDE on top of her honor as a warrior? If a Gypsy women was raped by an outsider, they would hunt him down and skin him alive. I can’t imagine that such ruthless pride wasn’t instilled in her as well. Not an egalitarian pride, to be sure, as a woman a Gypsy was expected to be humble and submissive in relation to her own men, which Casca could not accept, but as a Gypsy in relation to OUTSIDERS she had been expected to be VERY proud. I think that pride is about to be rekindled into pure wrath. She will then give Guts an ultimatum:
“Help me seek vengeance or GET OUT OF MY WAY.”

well griffith is no outsider, or just a man to her... he's more
like a role model, a big brother, even more! she has lots of love for him.
which makes it way more complicated. who knows, if everything
comes back in her mind. her inner self was shuttered so heavy
by the things which happend as we've seen in the last chapters...
we'll see. if miura stops trolling.

Well, as I noted, Miura has been keeping her background vague enough that many fans don’t realize that she’s a Gypsy, overlooking that flashback as you did. We know her as the Warrior Woman or the Innocent Idiot. But what about her ORIGINAL self? Casca the Gypsy? Not even Griffith really saw anything but the tail end of that side of her. He concluded it when he welcomed her into the Band. But, if Miura has done his homework on Gypsy culture, I’d be very surprised if that wild fire was completely expunged from her soul. Indeed, I’m sure the driving force from this point on will be some sort of Quest of Casca’s. Otherwise, I’m sure Guts would be content to settle down there on the island with her. So, why not add the edge of a Gypsy Curse to that Quest?

i think there'll be enough drama and story left to tell on how
to deal with her past and her future without the gypsy bg.
but it won't hurt to contribute that. either way:
she has fire in her and i can just recall the skull knight quote,
that if shes back, maybe she don't have the same goals then
guts himself... we'll see.

Actually, she’s a Romany/Gypsy analog (in-world name, not clear: “Wanderers”?) When we see her as a young girl this one time in a flashback, she’s wearing traditional Gypsy style clothing and is riding in her parents caravan. She’s got those extra thick, but not disgustingly thick, eyebrows Common among Gypsies.

yeah i've read the latest manga (well not the korean leak xD),
yah, very, very intense times at them moment for berserk fans...
i don't think it's that easy - i mean, griffith started to take shortcuts,
and was very unsecure in his mind at some point, even without guts'
influence. but yeah, sure, if guts would have stayed, they would have
been another outcome. -.-
