Description
A small big murderbird having a frighten. What's the cause of this upset - an unexpectedly self-defense-capable prey? An unexpected bug?
Inspired by and partially referenced from watching someone's Saurian gameplay as a subadult Dakotaraptor, so this is still a raptor of both pretty substantial size and also substantial level of foolishness. A young animal's life is mainly made up of situations ranging from dangerous to undignified.

Murderbird. <3 Love the thought and emotion behind this one. And the simplicity of the turquoise around it really makes the shock pop out!

Thank you! I'm happy to hear the choice of outline colour works! I usually pick them more inconspicuous for this style, but it seemed appropriate for this one to use something clashing.

Thank you!
A lot of this pose is referenced from the game. I like the raptors' jump animation.
I think it being part of an animation helps a lot, as even without a direct reference I like to picture the positions a moving body part would be in right before and after the pose it's in in the drawing, to help the pose make sense for the movement I want to convey. Here the legs are folded from pushing off the ground, and the wings are spreading to get air under them before they'll flap to help get the animal higher up and further away from the spoopy scary thing.
