interesting fact: Indoraptor is unfinished project of ideal killer. With Blue genes, he will be finished. So, this little fella like perfect indoraptor. Doctor Wu, thanks for this pretty biology. Without it, we never see this cutetness

I doubt Blue and Indo's offspring would be what Dr. Wu had in mind, at least not raised away from humans, since the chicks modeling their behavior on Blue's interest in interacting with humans was kind of why they wanted to involve her. Still, probably better for the chicks if fewer people know about their existence.
To their parents at least, they're perfect.

Skye's feathers are almost fully formed. Which means, if I remember how the birds I raised were, they are almost finished growing. Which would mean they would be around the same size as a true velociraptor. That would be interesting.

Oh, wait, good point. I hadn't realized how close to their adult size birds do actually get by the time they've grown a full plumage of contour feathers. Maybe she'll indeed remain smol. A bit bigger than a Deinonychus, but still small for her own, usually bigger species. Thank you for the insight!

Smaller size shouldn't cause too many problems. In fact, it would likely help as they won't need to eat as much and would give them a smaller profile when out hunting.
Still fits with my theory that the dinosaurs would genetically "correct" themselves through the generations.

Skye is still going to go through a few moults before her plumage gets to how she'll look like as an adult. I don't think Velociraptor is what the JP/W raptors actually are (or, the animal may be called Velociraptor in the alternate universe JP/W takes place, but it's not the animal named Velociraptor in our world), so Skye will probably grow up to be as big as Blue. She's currently already bigger than V. mongoliensis was.

Thank you! I'm glad I achieved a balance of the hints being there when you know to look for them but them not being immediately obvious.
I was wondering if anyone would ask why Indo isn't going with them to hunt in the fourth panel, and planned to say something to the effect of that he has something else to do at home, but... what would that have been if someone had asked, lol, washing the dishes? :D

Thank you! This is her juvenile plumage, so I wanted her to look a bit more camoflaged. The stripe is still there on her skin and peeks out from between feathers a bit, and will probably reemerge in feather form when she grows to adulthood.
