Description
Expecting something with varying leves of patience.
And though I'll keep this caption brief, here at my blog you can find more detailed commentary , which I included with this comic's each update (an authentic waiting experience with a comic about waiting!).
text blog, where I sometimes ramble about dinosaury things

lol yeah, a bit! A bit less once her biggest contour feathers get unwrapped from their wax sheaths.

I absolutely love it. Particularly the constancy in the feather length. It really nice to see the interesting design of the hybrid.Β Β

Thank you! Her flight feathers look a mess right now, and won't ever look completely not a mess because of her different anatomy from whatever dromaeosaurid they're modified clones of, but it's quite fun figuring out how they might look and function on a JP/W raptor (all of which to some extent are indeed hybrids) with just the integument changed.

Looks like a very floofy dinosaur that will eat my entrails if I try and pet her. Still would however, it will be worth it.Β Β

She's probably more likely to run away from a human, though yeah she'd be pretty capable of inflicting damage in a situation where she'd feel fight is the better option over flight (and I guess she's now well past the "lethal at 8 months" milestone, being about a year old). Drawing her next to her parents all the time kind of makes her look smaller than she is just because they're so big. She's about the size of an adult Deinonychus right now.
I bet that down would be so soft to pet, though.
