Gah, okay so, I'm not happy with this outcome of this one...drew it about 10 days ago and figured I cant let it sit around forever.In the beginning stages of drawing this I was thinking, hey this is gonna be fun, because I haven't drawn a koopaling in about 3...4...5 years? So I was thrilled to do another Super Mario fanart piece for old times sake.
Buuuut looking at it (and it couuuld be just me, cause' you know I have a habit of being hard on myself sometimes) I just feel its not super exciting and I probably could have done better. I pretty much had an off day I guess...come to think of it- the day after I drew it I started getting a cold. But hey, we all kinda have one of those days, yeah?
But anyway, enough negativity! Sorry. So....here's an upload for you guys since I postponed one for last week and so I can only hope you'll enjoy it, regardless. :^)
I think I should do another SMB scene in the future to make up for, uh...this. Heh!

SOME POSITIVITY FOR YA!
First of feels train, childhood game + I'm reminded of All Dogs Go To Heaven from the different faces we see here.
SECONDLY I still have trouble adding backdrops to my drawings but this looks amazing! The character design is extremely well done although the one in the middle with puckered lips holding a staff IS hard to identify (but I was never familiar with their names anyway so that's mostly on me).
Mario and Luigi look SPOT ON. I really would want to back this up as an animated film.
The only suggestion I would say or piece of advice.. Do more.

I still enjoy the Super Mario franchise. I felt the film functioned nicely as a "What if?" scenario, with things being portrayed more realistically instead of in its usual fantasy aesthetic.

This is another one of those ones you're too hard on yourself on. The Bluth-esque drawing style makes the Koopalings actually seem threatening, and Luigi just freaking out really makes sense, given the character.
