My final entry of the year for the tournament!

Having to face the reality that my art cannot be produced quickly enough for this tournament, so I suspect that this won't win! But since the judges didn't like the single picture entry I managed last time, I thought I'd go with a comic strip. Didn't get enough of it finished really, but it sets the scene up nicely for s story, which follows here:

It was a phrase that popped into Stormcracker's head since the next challenge presented itself. Unfortunately for him, it was one that would prove to be his most difficult to answer. Left on a beachhead of the northern island, he found himself shackled and bound with another participant in this contest: one whom he took a quick disliking to.
She was a younger woman, maybe his teammate Firefly's age. She hair was long and blonde, along with a bodysuit colored like quicksilver. She called herself Paragon and, on first appearances, would look like an ideal heroine. Her attitude, however, could quickly turn that interpretation sour. To Stormcracker, she was a brat, a diva with more interest in her own self-worth and pursuit of fame and fortune. He might not be the best one to declare such lack of tact, but he has seen great heroism done before. It was always with the best of intentions and in the service of others. Although thus isn't anywhere near as much as I'd like to have done, I'm happy with the look of the page - the colouring came out quite nicely and I'm finally beginning to get more of a feel of Paragon as a character. Assuming this is the last we see of her in the tournament, I think she'll reappear again one day
