Description
A large hand and forearm is reaching out from under the “bridge” blocking the flow of data and creating a horrible snarl of what had been orderly and free-flowing information. The hulking cyber-form of a humanoid beast may be seen like a shadow.Related content

I like this a lot, especially the colors and the "cyberspace" shapes. A little too much empty space in the upper part in my opinion, though.

Very powerful use of colour and composition. The extremely vibrant and bright tones seen in the image immediately stand out to convey this very engaging look; the furious glare of the red paired with the techno-icy blue really work together in terms of contrast, both reinforced by the heavy darkness seen in the figure.
This high-contrast way of colouring works very nicely with the fragmented nature of the image; the creature's form is portrayed very distinctly and the vein-like patterns over his body appear extremely imminent, also seen with the fragments of icy blue that seem to shatter from the piercing, horizontal beam.
The fact that all of these little fragments and pieces are highlighted so strongly individually conveys an extremely dynamic feel to the image, that sense of dismantlement very imminent. The blips of light also reinforce this, adding more of a techno-data-like impression to the fragments of vibrant colour.
In terms of the character, I feel as if the way the troll rises out of the red beam appears very powerful; not only does it appear he is fazing into substance from seemingly this grainy nothing, but the menacing darkness of his body that seems to just devour the red tone appears so confronting, the savage, sharp edges of his form, particularly his arms as they lunge closer to the audience, heightening this very imposing feeling of savagery and power.
Of course, the raised posture of his arms themselves reinforce this overwhelming sense, though in particular the piercing lens flare of the creature's eyes and the way they just seem to slice the entire image supports the stature of the troll very significantly; the glare just seems to be uncannily perfectly horizontal, the eyes completely spot-on, as to testament to how powerful this gaze appears.
In combination with the icy beam, I feel as if the character is only heightened even more; it's as if the monster is lunging out his arms into the beam, and with his tremendous force, it actually shatters into countless pieces, the sharp claws of the troll appearing above the tunnel as if triumphant after conquering prey, almost rearing to show their viciousness.
The fact that some shards of the creature seem to be dislodging themselves from his elbows reinforces just how powerful the punch into the beam was, that even at the expense of his own condition the troll will still shatter any barricade.
Truly, with the composition cleverly placing the beam of blue across the centre of the image, the monster seems to have conquered and risen through this barricade, shattering everything in his way.
However, above, the audience is attracted to this empty space - yet these strange, technology-like blips of texture seem to be rising into the beam of red - perhaps, implied with their vein-like texture, they are fragments from the troll itself? Is the monster actually de-materialising into the grainy nothingness?
I feel as if paired with the thin, sharp lines of light in the background and the entire sci-fi computer-technology theme of this image ranging from the laser-like beam to the path-like veins to the overall sharp, geometric feel of each object, this sense of de-materialisation appears to work well with the image, and makes sense.
Perhaps the troll is in fact just a monster risen from code in a computer?
Perhaps this entire piece is just an allegory for a scene that would be going on inside a computer? The monster, breaking free from his prison of being just a bunch of blips and fragments, lines in a code; yet once he finally thinks he's escape his barricade, he's just de-materialised again, reduced back into computer data? Perhaps.
I really love this inventive data-like theme you've conveyed in this image, and it is portrayed indeed very effectively with the sharp, unnaturally vibrant, geometric objects, the 2D plane colliding with the 3D plane in terms of the background and blips of texture with the troll, and just the symmetrical nature of the image being too perfect to be a scene set in reality.
A metaphor for the actions inside of a computer - monsters rising out from their lines of code, breaking free only to turn back into data - such an inventive and creative scene executed wonderfully with fantastic colours, textures and composition. I could easily see how a depiction like this could branch into being a symbol for the dangers of computers, and the theory that technology will eventually overpower man.
Awesome work!
