Made in Zbrush, Maya, Aftereffects and Flash.

Creating Trixie out of one of the previous models took about 10 hours. Then it took about 10-15 hours to create the finished pose 1 turntable.

Basically how do you make a model?

The models was made in Zbrush and Maya. I set up some image planes with screenshots from the show as guides. Then I created the mesh, trying to match it up as close as possible to the references.

Very impressive! Straight off the bat, I can tell just by looking at it that a ton of skill and effort was involved in making this.
The quality is beautiful, the glowing effect looks amazing too; has that magical vibe, and given the option to rotate the model (instead of just letting it spin around non stop) offers viewers the ability to interact - something that I really love about these deviations - which enhances this deviation even further! It may take a while to load at the start, but it's understandable since it's in 3D and High Quality.
Overall, you've done a fantastic job, I'm very happy to add this to my favorites, and to watch you for your future works!

Wow! This is grate! I love it. I am saving up for Zbrush to use with the LightWave 11.6 I now have.
The overall effect you pulled off for this Flash is fantastic! I got to look more into what can be done in Aftereffects.
I have the real old one from the Adobe Master Collection CS3. So it is an old one. Not sure if it can do this.
This is just so awesome to look at. ^.^
If only the cartoon could be made to look this good.
I do like the look of the cartoon just the way it is. But, this! Animated, that would be something.

I get this part from modeling and coloring with Zbrush, and light source from Aftereffects.
I don't understand how you done it with Maya and Flash.

I used Maya along with Zbrush (to make some tweaks that would have been difficult to do in Zbrush).
And Flash is just used for the video playback container (including the preloader animation and controls).

This was my all time favorite art piece of the year 2011......now 3 years later, a professional figure of the model comes out via a licensed dealer. Ordered one the MOMENT I saw the news item on EQD..........life is great right now. XD

Convince WeLoveFine to use all your poses for vinyls. (Especially the rest of the mane six (if you ever make a Twilacorn and the princesses, especially only if it's the latest visage of Luna 8D).
