Description
An animated portrait of the lemur-wraith.The animation can be controlled with the arrow keys (It may be necessary to click on it first)
The model was made in Zbrush and Maya.

for the eyes i rendered a additional layer with a surface shader (in maya) to get the texture ( a bright yellow-orange ) without shading. than this layer was used to brighten the eyes.

Sweet! So you then comped them together in something like After Effects? I wonder did you try using a layered shader for the same effect? I've always run into sporadic issues with layered shaders just not always doing what I would expect them to do, but sometimes they've pleasantly surprised me.

hi,
i like to render as many lights/effects on separate layers as possible.
that makes it easier to balance everything in post-production...
