I finally had the opportunity to use my old catfish model.Now it's a giant eating sharks.....

i love the idea of the ΓΌber-fish under the strider. it's nearly like saying "no matter how big you are - there are always bigger ones", which is no new, but still interesting concept.
composition and compositing are great. only some shadows *looking at the rear wheels* need fine tuning.
mixing yellow, violet and different shades of red on the texture usually is an absolute no-go, but with your compositing it looks okay and in a way makes the whole maybe even a bit more interesting - noticed that from the second view, so i wouldn't really care
i like the violet-white gradient, but in the upper left corner you have a bit too much uninteresting and too saturated violet fog
i'm missing some foam around- and motion blur in the wheels (there are propellers inside, aren't there?)

And yes, you have some good points there...
- I also thought about the motion blur in the wheels already. I think I'm gonna try that.
- The foam is really a problem for me....
- You are right about the upper left corner, could be better.
- Yes, the colors are weird on the strider, now that you mention it
- I think the shadows are ok, or at least I wouldn't know what to tune...

When I read your words about the Γberfish I had to think of The Phantom Menace when they were underwater and got chased by seamonsters - one bigger than the other eating always the smaller one....(well, I'm not a very big fan of that movie - I prefer the old episodes) So yeah, it's not new.
So I'll try to do another, better version of it. Stay tuned.
