i'm aware people might not care but i've been wanting to share my process for a while now! also was a good chance for me to draw my comfort child, bailey!!

some things before we start -
- i use clip studio paint
- brushes. here i used "主線も水彩も厚塗りも一本でやる怠けものブラシ" for the sketch and "oil paint flat brush" for the painting. i also used "dry gouache" for the blush. last two come with csp by default, while the first is on the asset store.
- some other brushes i use for painting are
* an opaque watercolour brush, with a triangle tip (modified default)
* 챠챠발바닥브러시

IDK!!! you shouldn't trust me but heres a step-by-step process of how i do it!!

1. sketch
simplest thing! i sketch out the drawing, and remove most of the lines i don't need, since i'll be using the sketch as the "lineart" for each piece. i do this with every painting because a) the lineart would be covered anyway and b) lineart SUCKS or at least mine does anyway

2. flats + base shading
i set the sketch layer to "linear dodge" and go underneath it to start on flats and maybe a little bit of shading. then i make a new layer and set it "multiply" and shade further. after this, i merged all the layers together!

3. shading hair
i always do this step first because hair is my most favourite thing to colour. not much to comment though!! though... his eyebrows disappeared haha

4. shading skin (woah eyebrows)
yes, his eyebrows are back!! (albeit i didn't do them right.) if you notice i lightened the shadow on his face! nothing to add to that, just wanted to mention ^^

5. shading eyes + freckles
bailey's incomplete without his freckles!! but anyways yeah eyes whatever next! (you can see he has "eye shine" in his left eye even though it shouldn't be there because of the shadow. thats because he looked dead inside without em so i played the artistic freedom card)

6. clothing + detail
shaded his turtleneck and added his hair pins back in! there are also earrings that he doesn't actually have lmao
