Description
Alright, so this was my pyro cosplay, was as in the harness and parts of the flamethrower are now all kablooey, which is leading me to do a new concept for the remainder of my outfit, which only a few friends of mine know of.This was on Day 1 of Otakon '11, I was a god damn celebrity there when I was in costume, I swear I couldn't make it 10 feet w/o someone asking me for a pic, and where there's one picture taker, there's bound to be at least 2 more. It was worse than the encounter rate in Pokemon Black & White.
Oh and my friend, whom, to the extent of my knowledge, does not have a dA, took the picture.

When i wasnt sitting down with mine on (or at least most of the time) I couldn't go 10 feet either without "Play your ax" "Give me hugs" an pictures xD But for the tank i had the same problem, i would pull i to the right height and put a few stitches in the strap to your shoulders, i am going to be trying .

I didn't really mind except that I missed the Steampunk 101 panel and the Johnny Young Bosch events, my highlight was doing Hadoukens and an awesome 3-in-1 photo with me, a red scout, and the best Heavy at otakon

My best was probably starting a fight with a scout in the middle of the food court that went on for a good amount of time, least till i could hardly breath from the mask and constricting costume. I will get that scout..

I would've got in a fight with a blue pyro who had an axe, but I couldn't make any rapid or forceful movements out of fear of my harness going kablooey, and of course it did later when I did the flamethrower taunt at the photoshoot

in fact, the harness for the back pack was much more floppy and in danger of falling apart

its a russian gp-5 with a balaclava over to get it completely black because the the mask I ordered wasn't, so I painted the the lens frames black, and the nozzle wasn't silver so I painted it, I used window tint on the lenses, and I made a fake air filter and hot glued it to the balaclava its actually a lot less floppy than it looks

What did you paint your lenses with? I used a mesh that made it black, but i had blurred vision without my glasses and he mesh made me almost blind

I actually used window tint, 35% tint, I believe

oh you mean the lens frames, well I just taped up the lens themselves and used regular spray paint, untamed them and put the window tint on
