For this contest byThe contest theme is "Emotions".
I think that Flowey would maybe feel alone after the pacifist route. Maybe he could have feelings, just a bit, after being able to be Asriel again for a while.
The emotion I choose is "Saudade". There's no translation for "saudade", this is a word from my language. While other romance languages do have similar ones (like "soledad", in spanish, that means home nostalgia, wanting to come back home), only portuguese (and the arabic expression "ilal watani") has a bigger meaning. It's like "I miss you", but stronger. It's a beautiful world with a beautiful meaning, but sometimes we tend to use it... Too much.
Flowey maybe would feel "saudade". From his parents, from Chara, maybe even from Frisk. It's all alone in the Underground, nobody would like that, not even him.
I used this image as a reference, for the background and all the colors, except for the human soul.

Thank you :33 . I used the image in the description as a heavy, really heavy reference, though I ended up noticing that the angle I used wasn't the most correct and needed to be less precise at the top.
And sad themes for the win! I always think of them as the best to express a real emotion.

Oh, it's difficult make a background for me too, usually I focus on the characters and I leave the background white or another color. But I'm trying to change this thing, sometimes a beautiful drawing needs a background!

And thank you. Saudade truly is a beautiful word. It actually makes me sad that we, including myself, tend to use it like nothing. Powerful words tend to be used wrong, specially "love" and "hate".
And I don't usually do backgrounds, but I just felt like i should. Making Flowey in the base of the drawing with a lot of space around him, it seemed like the best way to show loneliness. Some people would think that being in a white space is lonely, but nothing is worse than be in a immense location without anyone else.

Yeah, you are totally right! Sometimes it's also quite difficult with the language barrier which can hinder how we can express ourselfs.
And it's true that being alone in a vast space can be very lonely, the same as with standing in next to a mountain or waterfall, it makes you realise how small you are in comparison.
