"Duke"
(GI Joe: A Real American Hero)

Leader of the special mission force codenamed "GI Joe", Duke heroically leads his teammates into battle to defeat the evil terrorist organization Cobra, and stop them from taking over the world.

This is Duke, the leader of the GI Joe team. Well, the "traditional" leader of GI Joe anyways. Hawk was the "man upstairs", but Duke was the field leader of the team. If you grew up with the cartoons instead of the comics like I did, Hawk didn't exist to you until 1986. But if you were more of a comic follower, Hawk was the field leader before Duke was invented, so this just gets confusing somewhat, lol.

Despite being a stylistic re-imagining, my goal was to keep some basic aesthetics from what he looked like in the original Sunbow cartoons, so that it still was "Duke" (if you know what I mean) so that focus was put on his head mostly, which is reminiscent of what it looked like, complete with cleft chin and the combed back hair instead of the buzzcut sorta thing he traditionally seems to have now in recent incarnations.

(NOTE: this is a work of fiction, this is not for a REAL animated series! I don't work in the animation industry in any way.)

**EDIT: I shortened his neck so it doesn't look as tall anymore**
