Description Some more stuff done at work today. For some reason I really had Beast Wars stuck in my head, so did a few characters from there, as best as I could remember what they looked like, lol

Same here. =] Man, I have some great memories of that show. When I started watching it, it was shown early on Sunday mornings. My little sister and I used to sneak into the living room to watch it, hoping our parents didn't wake up for church.
Heh. I preferred Optimus Primal over Jesus.
Yeah, I think I was a smart kid.

lol I remember it was on the evenings on a channel here called "YTV". Unfortunately due to crappy BS&P in Canada it had to be renamed into the ridiculously stupid "Beasties" because we couldn;t have "War" in the title (dunno if this rule has changed in 12 years or not but who knows) for a kids show.

But each episode was repeated like 3-4 times a week it was so popular!

Oooh, awesome Depth Charge. I would like to see you finish that one.

Probably wont be that one specifically, but I want more Beast Wars stuff and Depth Charge was one of my faves, so I'd place bets on him showing up again at some point. I'm gonna have to get my copies of the series out for proper reference materials.

indeed. i've seen others do a generation swap thing a few times (G1/BW/Movie/Animated styles) and i was considering G1 concepts for a few BW characters. its an interesting idea to tinker with

Yes very much so! I'm planning to finally take the kid gloves off and take a crack at the movie bots. I think I've got a look figured out so I think I get one done really soon, or at least attempt it, hopefully it goes well and I can continue on without going back to the drawing board again, lol

yeah, them movie bots are.... intimidating. though i do like the idea that the DON had regarding the current ongoing series, more of a realistic G1.

Very true, I really dig the bodies (especially Brawn for some reason). Originally I was a little on the fence about the faces (not that I had a problem with them, its that they were kinda "eh") but by the 2nd and now 3rd issue he's gotten into a groove with them and they feel more like "DON" now, yknow?

Gonna finally dig in and start figuring out some movie bot faces this weekend. Might as well jump in feet first and hope its not shallow water!

lol thanks I'll need it

I think I got it figured out. Had to change something that I wasn't "feeling", thus not having anything up yesterday, but I think I've finally got it all figured out! I hope

same here, I'm doing "behind the scenes stuff" and stuff I can't show because it hasn't been for my use, but I really need to kick stuff back into high gear. Everytime I say I am it goes "bleh" so I'm trying to change it. Plus, I need to free time up to open up for some commissions cuz HOLY CRAP am I broke XDD

been going to a few places, trying to network. unfortunately, something in our laser blew a fuse the other day, now we're looking all around trying to find components! FML.

yamis In reply to KrisSmithDW [2010-03-15 18:46:50 +0000 UTC]

its not that bad. the hardest part is that i've had no proper training on it, and i'm just guessing and doing what works (not really recommended on a $50K piece of equipment) but i'm looking into places around here that can train me to do things the right way.
