Nice thing is that Animated proved that you can have this sort of body style AND have a physical toy representation that looks like it AND transforms. I like that balance of G1 and Animated as well. I think it REALLY works.

There's a few things that would have to be "trickery" to work, but who knows, some of those toy designers can create some CRAZY ideas to make that stuff just work!Β

Well of course. I mean they had to cheat here and there on the Animated and the Prime toys but it wouldn't be impossible. Hell if they can make an AD Optimus that transforms into a truck or a Mickey Mouse Optimus that transforms, I think these designs are a piece of cake XD And I LIKE cake!

I agree, the aesthetic consistency was a little off in the !986 movie. When I was little I just thought it was because they were newer better robots, yes even Kup...I was an idiot back then.

Love it! My favorite bit is the wheels on his back. That just tickles me. Also the built up fore arms allowing him to have a veritable swiss army knife of bladed weapons on call.
