Part 7

With her head spinng, she went up to her room to find Fiona building a house of cards with Beatrice. She started to tell them about the vacation, and how they needed to smuggle Beatrice along with them.

"Something seems fishy about this though," Violet thought outloud. "Monty Smith and Ike Jones. I don't know why but they seemed so familiar. What do you think Fiona?"

"Well, the way you described them, it sounds to me like they know you." Fiona polished her triangle shaped glasses, and as Violet watched, she felt the gears inside her head working. She looked down at Beatrice as she tied her hair up in the old ribbon she always kept with her. Now that the hair was out of her eyes, she could think better. She looked at Beatrice, then Fiona, and two people popped into her mind: Klaus and Sunny. But there were two boy salesmen, not one. That could only meen one thing...

Violet shook her head, then sat on her bed, glaring at the floor. Memories were coming back into her head, memories she tried burying. Hope was blooming inside her, but she was determined not to hope. She had given up hopeing when she found out how much it hurt. Klaus was dead. Sunny was dead. Isadora was dead. Duncan was dead. Aunt Josephine was dead. Uncle Monty was dead. Her parents were dead. Quigley was dead. They were, weren't they?

"Violet?" Suddenly she was brought back to reality.

"I think I know of a way to get Beatrice to a vacation house. Fiona, you'll come to the vacation house late with Beatrice. Meanwhile, I look for a good hiding place. Then I'll show you two were it is. It's not the perfect plan, but right now, my brain's hurting to much." Fiona said okay, and then started playing with Beatrice again. Meanwhile, Violet watched, soon falling asleep.

Violet had the strangest dream about a time back when she lived in the small apartment with her siblings and the Quagmire triplets. It was Christmas and she gave a ton of thought into her presants. There was a small tree in the living room with homeade ornemants. She remembered watching Sunny's face glow when she got her own cookbook and plenty of hard objects to bite. She could smell the cookies Sunny made with Isadora's help. She could praticly see Klaus's face when he unwrapped his very own bookshelf that Violet made for him. She remembered the little poems Isadora wrote that described her favorite traits about her siblings and the Baudelaires. She remembered how Duncan and Quigley surprised everyone with an amazing turkey dinner that everyone enjoyed. She could see the new tools she got, like a new hammer and screwdriver, plus a new tool belt. The dream ended when she was under the mistle toe, just about to kiss Quigley.

"Hey, CAKESNIFFERS!" Carmelita's irratating voice flooded into the room. "IT'S TIME FOR ONE OF MY SINGING SHOWS SO YOU BETTER ALL SHOW UP!!!!!!!!!"

"What she needs to do is shut up," Violet muttered. "Okay Beatrice, looks like play times over. Come on Fiona. It's time to have our ear drums expload." Beatrice looked up at her with sad eyes. Violet felt bad to have her stuck in her room, but she couldn't bring her with her.

"We'll be back soon," Fiona promised. Beatriced smiled, then Violet tucked her into her homemade bed and Beatrice fell fast asleep.

In the concert hall were Carmelita sang a terrible song about herself, Violet and Fiona talked quietly in the back row.

"Do you think it's possible for one of my siblings or the Quagmire triplets to still be alive?" she asked Fiona.

"I think so, but I thought you gave up hoping that was true."

"That man, Monty Smith, looks a lot like Klaus, now that I think of it. And Ike Jones looked like...Duncan Quagmire." She couldn't bring herself to say Quigley. Could she really bring herself to hope?
