Kraid vs Samus from metroid series.I was planning to make a drawing of super metroid's battle but I couldn't come up with a good composition so I decided to recreate the battle, when you encounter kraid at super metroid he only shows a small portion of it's body and later it raises, well I decided to recreate the first stage, Samus is in a place with many platforms, then the room starts to fill with lava then kraid comes out and starts attacking samus and destroys the platforms to make samus fall into the lava, Samus must run as Kraid destroys the platforms and shoot him to slow him down a bit, kinda like the Helmarock battle from wind waker.
So that's it hope you like it, drawing lava was a little harder than I expected.

Holy moly, this is intense looking, both from a scenario standpoint, and a making-the-art-piece standpoint.

Yeah, this would be interesting in the fourth Prime game. Dynamic set pieces like this aren't super common in the Prime series to my knowledge.

This...THis would be so epic to fight in an HD Metroid game!! I only hope it would be as hard as it looks!

Thanks! I think we haven't seen a kraid return in 3D metroid because a they haven't come up with a good battle yet, but I think this may be the perfect come back, mixing the nintendoland, smash bros appearances on one

If you don't know, they planned a Kraid battle in Metorid Prime 1 replacing the Omega Pirate, they partly designed it (you can find it on the internet) but due to the lack of time they couldn't had it to the game.

Now...THIS...is more like what a battle with a monster the size of a building should be like. When it's big and strong enough to change the landscape, and there's lava everywhere, it should be hard. I would get so hyped if this was a real thing in a new game.

Yeah some of the inspiration came from smash bros melee kraid stage and other stuff
I can see samus running and jumping from platform to platform while kraid destroys them, and the lava rises.
Hope I can work at retro studios some day to come up with things like this.

Holy shit, that looks awesome. I've only noticed that Kraid has a slightly blurry shading, when I took a closer into the picture. But still, great picture overall.

I made kraid a little blurry to make the effect that it's a little far from samus, a little hard to explain
