Mixture, sometimes i click and drag in the direction and go up and back a few times before releasing the click, othertimes i just tap it just to "mess up" the smudge a bit.. just experiment really..

This is one of the best sig tutorials I've seen mate, you don't just show 'how to make this sig' - but you tell people how a whole technique is done, which they can use to make many things and improve.

Nice!

Thanks dude I appreciate your comments, always encouraging when I get feedback like that. Your pretty talented yourself, I love some of the stuff you have done. I am trying to learn digipainting atm, pretty hard!

Oh

Well, cheers, digipainting is great, you'll get the hang of it, because it's fun to learn, no matter how good or bad you are at it, because you always thing 'ahh, I could do this or that better' after you do a bad one, and the next one you try will be better!

Haha yep! I'll submit some of my work soon.. Still trying to get the hang of it and deciding whether i just want to focus on only using hard round brushes, or all types of brushes to get a more realistic feel.

Oh, use whatever brush you have to maaan! Hard and soft (that's what she said) are good for different things. And you must experiment with opacities!

ok this is crap i cant even get the clipping mask to work i FAIL hard :S

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

PigIer In reply to Xiron1 [2011-10-26 12:48:36 +0000 UTC]

You need photoshop.

Just create a new layer, brush, then get a new layer (in this case the original render) put it on top&create clipping mask.
