How do you change the colours so well with adjustment layers? Never looks that good when i try to :/

I already did the lesson 1 part but when I get to the lesson 2 the smudge is not really like yours, it looks like the 1st smudge without changing anything after installing photoshop ._.
What shall I do?

Hey, I've read your guide, I must say, it did teach me alot.
On the other hand, I found the exact brush you used, set it to the exact same settings you said,
but yet, my smudges look much different than yours.
I'm talking about the simple smudges of the first stepps, The ones in the 3rd picture of the 2nd lesson.
Your smudges look interesting and different, while mine looks like this for example:

Note: I just did it for example of my smudges.
Can you try to think of why I have a really different smudge outcome than yours, although I use the exact same brush?
Mine looks too...homogeneous while yours looks really unique. I'd REALLY like it if you answer me and help me understand my problem

Thank you so much for this tut, it's a great style with a great technique.
I gave it a try...but my smudge just sucked so much i had to add a bunch of other stuff so it didn't looked so plain and boring.

Its all good, hardly anyone learns the smudging style on their first practice, just keep at it and you'll get it. I like what you did with it though, looks great. Thanks for the link in your piece too!
