The few Tokyo Mew Mew mary-sues that have been written so far have disgusted me. The new Mew-Mew always gets Kish (occasionally Ryou, but that's VERY rare) and in most cases, immediately after meeting the Mew-Mew, Kish forgets about Ichigo, which would NOT happen. They're normally horribly written, the new character often does not have a food name (that doesn't bother me that much, though), and...ugh. They're just horrible. But anyways, the only Mary-Sues that I don't mind are the ones that are written purely for humor purposes. Those are fun, and are often well written. ^^ Uh...most of the time, at least. >.>; The thing that annoys me is that a few of the writers of mary-sues have reviewed my fics saying 'Ichigo/Kish is getting old' ((cough))browniesledge((cough)) and other things like 'a better pairing would be either Ichigo/Ryou or me/Kish'...that PISSES ME OFF TO NO GOD DAMN END! >___< ...Yes, I'm done ranting.
I just have to say, I could care less about the pairing obsessions of people I've never met in my entire life. Unless they have an obsession for a pairing that I happen to like, but that's besides the point. x]; This is my basic example of what I think of TMM mary-sues. If you can't read it (as my handwriting is somewhat messy and a bit of this was cut off), here's all the dialogue and stuff:Girl: Hi! I'm a new Tokyo Mew Mew character! My name is...

Girl: Uh...
Has to be a food name...
Girl: POPCORN! It's pure GENIOUS!
Arrow 1: ((pointing at 'genious)) SPELLED WRONG!

Arrow 2: ((pointing at Popcorn)) Ichigo lookalike?!
FLASH!
OMG TEH SUN?! O_o
Popcorn: Ohemgee! I've become Mew Kernel!
Fused with the DNA of...EVIL RABID FANGIRL!
Arrow: ((pointing at chest area)) Chest expansion?! O_o;
Popcorn/Mew Kernel: I must fight against uber-hot aliens to save the world! ((motioning to original Mew-Mews)) These are my teammates/lackeys, btw. So I am the official leader of Tokyo Mew Mew!
Arrows: ((pointing to original Mew-Mews)) Not the original Mew-Mews! REALLY!
Kish: So you're the new, oh-so-hot Mew Mew?
Arrow 1: Kish?
Arrow 2: TOO SHORT! >_o ((I drew Kish too short in the frame, so I did this out of frustration xD))
Mew Kernel: Yup! Aren't I HOT?
Arrow 3: Dumb-Masaya
Arrow 4: Ryou?!
Masaya: ((TREE-HUG!))
Mew Kernel: MY SEX SLAVES! >D
Kish: BOOBS!
Ryou: OOC!
END! ((OWARI!!!))
Yeeeeeah...I think I was high on something when I did this. x]; And don't complain about the bad drawingness and the lame-ity. It's supposed to be like that. Though I might do a better drawn version sometime in the far future... Like...before the turn of the century...
What's the point of this, you ask? Mary-sues...SUCK. BADLY. And I need to stop typing in all caps. >.>;
Characters: Kish, Ryou, Dumb-Masaya, Ichigo, Minto, Retasu, Purin, Zakuro (well...the Mew-Mews were there...in one frame... o.o). Popcorn/Mew Kernel belongs to me...unfortunately. xD; I just made her up for the sake of the comic.

Yeah, I got bored and decided to look up fan-art because I used to watch this show.....and I own a couple of the mangas.....either way, I found a disproportionally large quantity of poorly made copies of the Tokyo Mew Mew cast members, labeled as original characters.....blah.....most of the people didn't even admit that they used pieces of the original manga as a base for their art. I almost always mention when I use a base to draw my friend's avi's.....which I'll go ahead and state that is most of the time, I mean they are paying in game currency, so blah, anyway, because of that I can tell when someone else just copies something and colors it in different colors. Thus in conclusion to my lengthy comment, hee hee.....it did make me smile because it's so very true.....

I don't think anyone ever said she was in love with everyone and/or just playing around with all the guys. Honestly, though, she really is kind of a Mary-Sue. Whenever I read or watch the manga/anime, all I can think is, "Damn, does this girl have ANY freaking flaws?" Aaaaand...she doesn't. She really doesn't. She's clumsy and somewhat of a ditz, yes, but those are hardly flaws if they're considered endearing. Also, most of those comments are years old. YEARS. OLD. Think about that, if you please.

XDDDDDDDD And, ugh, you're definetely right, they almost always say that "Kisshu forgot about Ichigo and fell in love with me" or "Ryou and I are in love", and they also always have a pretty stupid way that they became a Mew mew. o_o

Mary-sue OC's X Kish, Ryou or cannon characters normally suck.
I have yet to read more than about 3 fics that are good. No offence to any of you peeps. I think OC's can be with the canon chars don't get me wrong, just try and be realistic. That pic is amazing. My fav.

I'm so sick of TMM Sues. As if Ichigo wasn't Mary-sue enough, now they think we need another Sue for that series. Lordy.
And Masaya is not dumb. He is the most ruthelessy 9and senselessly) bashed character ever. If any TMM character should be bashed, bash Ichigo!

I'd actually gotten over my hatred of Masaya after doing a more in-depth study of him when I was writing a fanfic with him in it, and I didn't want to be overly biased. I was kind of surprised when I found he wasn't as flat a character as I originally thought... To tell the truth, I'm rather ashamed of how I originally perceived him. >_>; I wouldn't say he's the most ruthlessly bashed character ever, though. There's a LOT of anime/manga characters that could fit that description. ...It's quite sad, really. ._o;
And hell yes, Ichigo is extremely Sue-ish. But not enough for bashing; there's only ONE character I'll lower myself to bashing now. ...And it's one of my own characters. So...yeah. xD;

why is this so true in every which way form and fashion? because mary-sues SUCK. i would know. i only read 40 bajillion stories with TMM mary-sues every day. i think that this comic accurately explains the purpose of a mary-sue. to recreate an ichigo character simply because the author wants kish and ryou to like THEM. kish is so friggin devoted to ichigo that you all have NO chance. so ha. there. i said it. i wish there were more people like you in the world! hi....im sorta a mary-sue.....even though i hardly know what one is.
i know quite a lot about TMM (though not nearly as much as my best mate). so i decided to make my own character. i still havent finished her but i'm goin to start workin on some fan-fics soon. i (as the author said in the comments thingy) am one of the few people who are going to have ryou as their boyfriend (YEY ME!). but i'm not a mary sue coz they dont get together easily...i think. could someone give me an accurate definition of what i mary-sue is so i can tell if i'm one or not? i hope im not but i need to know
