The few Tokyo Mew Mew mary-sues that have been written so far have disgusted me. The new Mew-Mew always gets Kish (occasionally Ryou, but that's VERY rare) and in most cases, immediately after meeting the Mew-Mew, Kish forgets about Ichigo, which would NOT happen. They're normally horribly written, the new character often does not have a food name (that doesn't bother me that much, though), and...ugh. They're just horrible. But anyways, the only Mary-Sues that I don't mind are the ones that are written purely for humor purposes. Those are fun, and are often well written. ^^ Uh...most of the time, at least. >.>; The thing that annoys me is that a few of the writers of mary-sues have reviewed my fics saying 'Ichigo/Kish is getting old' ((cough))browniesledge((cough)) and other things like 'a better pairing would be either Ichigo/Ryou or me/Kish'...that PISSES ME OFF TO NO GOD DAMN END! >___< ...Yes, I'm done ranting.
I just have to say, I could care less about the pairing obsessions of people I've never met in my entire life. Unless they have an obsession for a pairing that I happen to like, but that's besides the point. x]; This is my basic example of what I think of TMM mary-sues. If you can't read it (as my handwriting is somewhat messy and a bit of this was cut off), here's all the dialogue and stuff:Girl: Hi! I'm a new Tokyo Mew Mew character! My name is...

Yeeeeeah...I think I was high on something when I did this. x]; And don't complain about the bad drawingness and the lame-ity. It's supposed to be like that. Though I might do a better drawn version sometime in the far future... Like...before the turn of the century...
What's the point of this, you ask? Mary-sues...SUCK. BADLY. And I need to stop typing in all caps. >.>;
Characters: Kish, Ryou, Dumb-Masaya, Ichigo, Minto, Retasu, Purin, Zakuro (well...the Mew-Mews were there...in one frame... o.o). Popcorn/Mew Kernel belongs to me...unfortunately. xD; I just made her up for the sake of the comic.

i only dislike ichigo a little...i just tend to...overextend that dislike sometimes >.>; but...she is pretty much perfect, like most mary-sues O_o the only things not perfect about her are her clumsiness and...the fact that she seems to obsess over masaya. ((what does she SEE in him?! what does she LIKE besides his awesome voice?! his voice isnt even HIS! its his VOICE ACTORS!!! X_x))

MARY SUES: Personally, I really donβt care about Mary Sues (rolls her eyes at the gasp of several people). I think the person who made up that term was nothing but an evil bitch who wanted to put a block on ALL original characters to prevent them from turning over cannon pairings. Yes, you heard me correctly. Mary Sues arenβt always nice, placid, Pollyanna woman who fall in love with either Kaiba and Yamiβyada, yada, yadaβbut there are more Mary Sues in the world than one may realize. Seriously though, even if the new character has even the most unique and awesome personalityβthey can still be classified as a Mary Sue. A Mary Sue (In Yu-Gi-Oh Fictions only) can be identified if she is in possession of even ONE of the following: Sen-Nen Item, good duelist, romantic connection with one of the main characters, looks like the main character, hangs out with the characters, possesses a same card as a main character and beyond. Tragic, isn't it? So many good story possibilites abruptly ruined by this simple term.
To me, whoever came up with the phrase βMARY SUEβ is sick! It is only a tool to make people feel bad about themselves, and anyone who flames a person for that particular detail should be ashamed of herself/himself. Go ahead and hate them all you wantβbut to flame a person for that reason is a vile and flagrant act.
Also, (for a minor note) after taking into consideration exactly 'how many traits' make a Mary Sue-- it doesn't show me anything. It only shows me that since there are so many, that the person who created this term has got to be pretty desperate. Heh-Heh, looserβ¦

mary-sue is only a term to describe the story itself, not to insult the person who wrote the story. and im not saying i hate ALL mary-sues, im just saying i hate MOST of them because of the way theyre written. some can actually be very fun to read, and are actually well written. so please stop ranting about what i like and dont like, because im me and youre not. i happen to have dislikes just like you, in case you never realized it. im only human, and so are you, and it seems like you enjoy pointing out things that are wrong with me while trying to prove that im completely evil for hating/disliking certain things/anime characters, which makes you seem VERY immature. im immature, sure, but i at least know when to STOP. -.-; and if you want to insult someone, make sure you at least spell the insulting word right. thank you.
btw, i could care less about yu-gi-oh mary-sues. i dont read them, and never will, as ive never really been a major fan of yu-gi-oh anyways.

EXCUSE ME, but Ichigo is one of my fave characters! She's NOT perfect! Okay? She maybe somewhat near perfection, but, so what?!
I'm NOT a mary sue, I find them very annoying. I just HATE it when they bash the girl a guy is s'pposed to be with.
Moreover, I'd like to say a "few things"! I mean, pretend if Ichigo wasn't perfect, if she had a very bad temper, wasn't so pretty, didn't have boobs, and couldn't cook and stuff. i bet some of ya'd still bash her like you bash Akane from Ranma 1/2! Feh, you just HAVE to find a reason to bash someone for no reason, don't you? When someones less than perfect, you bash them, when someone is somewhat near perfect, YOU BASH THEM! technically, you just bash them to feel like you're in control! Why? Is it because you think all girls that are just loved should die? Then kill Yagami Hikari/Kari Kamiya, now SHE is liked by "Too Many Guys", NOT Ichigo! Ichigo has only two, maybe three and Hikari is liked by SEVEN! But, you don't bash HER! Why?

The funny thing is, Ichigo bashers bash her with lame excuses like "She's pink" or, "She has too many guys liking her"! I say, so what? Pink may not be the best colour but, she likes it, big deal! I bet atleast ONE of your friends like pink, so, does that mean you'll bash him/her? grow up, jeez! You "reasons" are so stupid, GODS!
And she isn't liked by "Too many guys"! Only two, Masaya and Kisshu and I'm not sure is Ryou likes her or is messing with her head! -Is there something wrong with a girl who died a very tragic death?

-First of all, you call her a friendship-preaching bitch. That is NOT true. That's TΓ©a Gardner, from the stupid 4KidsEntertainment dubbed version. The real Mazaki Anzu is a kind, smart, and tomboyish girl. Plus she saved Jounouchi's life by knocking the teeth out of Professor Yoshimori under Shadi's control who almost chocked Jounouchi to death!
-Second of all, I'm not a big fan of TΓ©a Gardner, and she does get out of hand sometimes. But you make it sound like she goes "What, friend?" all the times! NO!! That is NOT true! That is Starfire from Teen Titans, but no one seems to bash her! You just bash Anzu because she hangs around with boys. Seriously, so what if she hangs around with boys? She's a tomboy, and they're her friends. You're all sexist, thinking girls should stay cooped up! You're all PATHETIC excuses for women, letting men walk all over you like that! XP
-You call her ugly. EXCUSE ME?! She's way, WAY, WAY prettier than Vivian Wong and Nosaka Miho and Higurashi Kagome. okay, cerulean-san, youd better read this, cuz im wasting my time replying to this when i could be doing something more productive that will actually make a difference in my life.
look, if you want to rant about all this stuff, do it in your journal or something. i dont even know HALF the characters you listed in there >_o (though i agree that usagi and kagome have WAY too many guys liking them...) how did anzu, kikyou, and minto come up? theyre among my favorite characters, so why list THEM? and this comic isnt ABOUT ichigo anyways, its about mary-sues. if you want to comment, make sure its about the actual DEVIATION, not about other peoples opinions (omigosh! pther people have opinions?! i bet it never occured to you!). i could really care less about what other people think about what characters i do and dont like. and first off, a lot of the reasons you listed werent even the reasons i hate ichigo. i just dont like the way she acts, okay? dont let little things like opinions piss you off, and next time, rant in your journal instead of posting it on one of my deviations without even commenting on the deviation itself -.-; though in your other rant, you did sort of comment on the comic, but you just insulted me for disliking mary-sues, so i can guess that you dont like me all that much. if you dont like me, dont bother commenting, okay? i dont mind.
and look, people hate other people sometimes. you got to get used to it, or youre going to end up VERY surprised when you get into the real world. youll have people hating you and you wont know why, and if you preach about it to them like you did to me here, theyll hate you more (no, im not saying that i hate you. i dont, im just annoyed that youve been ranting over opinions that arent your own). you have ranted to me several times about how i dislike certain characters, and its getting VERY tiring. you ranted on my book of oneshots on fanfiction dot net, in more than five chapters i might add, and you ranted twice on the same deviation here. so if you want to rant to me, send me an email or note me. i dont want a person being all immature over a little bit of dislike for anime characters posting page-long rants on my deviations. thank you. -_-;

I do have a thought about the non-food name MewMews: I think some people may just be trying to be original. I know that's what I was going for when I created Mew Merle. Although she has a food named weapon, unlike most Mary-Sues. And she doesn't transform into "Mew *insert food name here*", she's just "Mew Merle".
But, even if they were trying to be original, their characters still turned out to be Mary-Sues. x.x;

Quite actually, my definition of a Mary-Sue is: Perfect (Which Merle isn't. Cold, rude, hateful to everybody...yeah. x.x), everyone loves her (Which not all of the characters love Merle; Minto isn't exactly fond of her, because of how cold and rude she is to everybody. And Ichigo DEFINITELY does not like her. Not sure what Retasu or Purin think of her. o_O), all powerful (Merle isn't powerful. She's like the rest of the MewMews. She's a duck. u_u; While Ichigo gets all the friggin' fame and glory and all the guys... >_o;;; ), no flaws (Merle has a *lot* of flaws, I just can't name all of them. x_x;; *has forgotten most of them*) and yeah.
But, then again, definitions of Mary-Sue's differ from people to people. That's just the type of seen around so often. The whole perfect thing. That's another reason I think Ichigo is a Mary-Sue. She matches all of those perfectly. x.x;

Some person made this list up of stuff wrong with Ichigo. This...doesn't really make her any less Mary-Sueish, because most of these were just random stuff. o_O;;;
1. There are aliens trying to kill her
My response: And what are the other MewMews? Ducks? Get Ichigo while you can, aliens! Spork the Sue! *sporkitysporkityspork*
2. There are two boys who like her who she doesn't.
My response: Because we all know it's perfectly normal to have three guys liking you at the same time. And in turn, you should like them all at the same time and create a giant mass of confusion.
3. She has a massive crush on Masaya.
My response: And what she sees in him, I'll never know...but I wouldn't really call that a flaw, anyway. It's just a Sue being a girl.
4. Her cat ears and tail pop up
My reponse: Again, I wouldn't really call that a flaw. I call it "Torturing the Sue". Yay!
5. She turns into a cat Because of the cat genes.
My response: What happened before she was a Mew Mew? She turned green?
6. Francis likes her (eww)
My response: I think that's a flaw with Francis, actually. ;]
7. She has to work at cafe mew mew with all of those "workers" *coughmintcough*
My response: Now, I must say...Mint does start working at some point or another in the manga. In the anime, not so much. But I don't see how that's a flaw with Ichigo's character. o_O
8. She's a mew mew and she hates it
My response: Because we all know anyone who just got merged with cat DNA and wasn't even ASKED first would love it. I know I would kill somebody, but that's just me.
9. She acts like a cat occassionally
My response: And just causes more chaos and angst when she tries hiding it from Aoyama.
10. She has a totally "over-protective" dad.
My response: Who doesn't?
11. She has to keep the fact that she's a tmm a secret.
My response: Which causes her to get depressed and makes me want to gag from the angsty stuff.

XDDD. I saw one that was Ryou's twin sister. x__x And had snake DNA. She had to bite people to change back, apparently. And then there was another posted at the cmm boards that was a model and whatnot and uber popular and somehow went to school with Ryou.
The ones I dislike most are the ones that make everyone OOC. x__x And randomly kill off a canon love interest, if one existed, so their character ends up with the male.

most of the time, when people pair their character with kish, hes...overly out of character. O_o hes all...sweet and...nice. ((shudders)) hes supposed to be perverted and sorta...hyperly fun with mischievousness/evilness mixed in! x]
its a lot worse with ryou... hes hard to keep in character due to his... expressionlessness...ness... >_o;
