This here is a simple hand drawn size comparison between how my own Curator-class Starfleet vessel might compare with the size of a Constitution-class Starfleet vessel. For example:

Name: U.S.S. Enterprise

Function: Space exploration
Scale: 305 meters

and:

Name: U.S.S. Curator
Class: Curator-class lightweight cruiser

I dunno, it was pretty much guess work with the Curator-class vessel's overall scale. I mean, just think how much smaller the Nova-class U.S.S. Equinox (NCC-72381) was in comparison to the Intrepid-class U.S.S. Voyager (NCC-74656). It's pretty much the same here with the Curator-class, except when compared with a Constitution-class (specifically the refit model). Though, if anyone wishes to correct me on the Curator-class vessel's scale, then feel free to let me know. ^.^

The U.S.S. Curator (NX-5550) is the very first in an experimental lineup of Curator-class lightweight cruisers, constructed at the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards. It consists mainly of 15 decks, and has a crew compliment of at-least 90. The U.S.S. Curator was launched on December 1st 2299, and had both a very high impulse speed and greater agility, due to its successful lightweight scale and advanced warp nacelles. It would then later give way to sister ships such as the U.S.S. Avionics (NCC-5551), which itself launched on January 31st 2301, with a newly advanced Transwarp Drive. Although, this drive initially failed under mysterious circumstances, and nearly killed the crew as they were unintentionally flung halfway across space. So, as a result, future Curator-class vessels would take much less of a risk, and stick mostly with faster speeds, rather than longer jumps. The Curator-class lightweight cruisers would go on into the latter half of the 24th Century, where they fought in the Dominion War between 2373-2375. Since then, they'd been gradually phased out in favour of future successors - such as the Wallenberg-class transport/tug of the 2380s, and the Inquiry-class battleship of the 2390s.
