Thank you so much! I saw the photo! Yeah it was pretty ridiculous, no one really asked before but i actually had to hold the camera between my knees and clap my hands to scare them off!
Very crazy indeed!

that's so SO amazing
and naturally, entirely worthy of the DD you received for it.
my applause to you for that.
((ha, oddly, i think what makes this even more amazing, on a purely comical personal level to me? is that when i was like 12 i was part of a "seagull ambush" on the beach because one of my friends thought it'd be "neat" to sit a giant plastic barrel of cheese puffs open in the middle of the sand. .....and as we all scrambled as the seagulls flew in, i turned to run the other direction only to be whacked smack in the cheekbone by the hard bony wing of a soaring seagull. he wasn't flapping just gliding -- and i'll tell you what -- even though they've got feathers, that doesn't "soften" that massive BONE that makes their wing structure. ohhhmigosh, it hurt SO bad and got so black and blue. so! kudos to you for getting out alive! !!))

Thank you again!
And wow! I can't even imagine how painful that must have been! Yes, I thought it would be best if I dindt get too close, although a shot of them flying all around me would have been cool too. The bird crap however, was enough of an adventure!

I'm very late congratulating you on your DD, but as the saying goes, better late than never.
It was well deserved and well worth any discomfort you went through to achieve this stunning result.

Way the go! Excellent capture, made by pure desire to photograph the moment, where nature shows it's true beauty. Really great work. You should be very proud of yourself and keep trying to capture nature's 'moments' in your lense, even if it leads you toward a trail or crap.

Erm i' thinking of buying a camera. A Digital SLR. How does a Nikon and Canon compare?? Erm what are the pro and cons?? Since i love your stuff. I'll like to know your opinion.. Thanks~!!

KsenKAT In reply to yakkingyetis [2009-01-05 01:03:00 +0000 UTC]
Hm...I can't really help you there since i've only used a Canon (Digital Rebel series) but in my opinion it's a great camera.
Lots of people say apparently the Nikon is better, but i can't imagine it being THAT much better.
Im a Canon
