Description I finally started at Team RWBY

I based yangs look off of Tanya and i figured she'd have the fighting style of scorpion and johnny cage.

This is pretty flat, the technique is kinda boring. I give you good marks on originality, because as long as your art is your art thats all that matters. The vision I give you 2.5 because I'm having trouble telling the difference between your art and the smudges on my monitor. Overall you have potential and definitely see you getting really good. The flatness is the thing that bothers the most as indicated by me giving it the worst score out all of these. You know what I think I might like you great art actually is kinda overrated do you buddy!

Great creativity and a wonderful start to dynamic poses. I always tell myself to hone my skills with the most hardest techniques so that when I am faced with a slightly intermediate obstacle, it will be easy. Don't forget when it comes to lighting, to add a rim effect especially on her shoulders plates, sharper edges will have that light reflecting on, etc. For instance her right arm (On the left side of the image) her gauntlet is glowing, that specific light should be seen on some of her pelvic region or hips, skirt, etc. Soft brushes are nice but they'll be much more effective if you practice cell shading before. I recommend to lock the layer and mask and refine those shapes. Add a separate layer on top for the glow via color dodge/overlay techniques. You have the correct vision and path, continue to practice and sharpen your skills! :3

Thank you so much for the amazing tips! I'm still not the best at digital art so I appreciate every piece of advice!

Yang: How about a little sparring practice, master?
Scorpion: you'll get yourself burned.
Yang: I embrace danger.

I think Yang would get training from both Scorpion and Johnny Cage(mostly they'd fight with puns)

and Yes! She'd say Scorpion's Get over here just to mess with him.

Great job on drawing a dynamic pose AND making the anatomy look good still. I'm not gonna be fake though, there are still some things that need work here but it's not a bad drawing. Love the background too and how yang is in sync with it rather than being too bright.
