Forget it, Hawk--Angela's after Duran anyway.
And don't you already have a girlfriend?
I think this comic could do with a few backgrounds, to spice things up--Also, you do not want to scale the sprites up, as you have them here. They look terrible if you can see the pixels

Oh yeah, it could definitely do with some backgrounds but I'm still working on that - there's no easy way to grab them out of the game other than screenshots, so I started fiddling with character sprites first.
As for scaling them up, I reckon they're just too small if you leave them at their original size. I think I used a factor of 2.5 here - personally I don't mind the pixels too much, but I agree they're very visible. I'll put a test sheet together with various sizes and scaling methods, see what looks best. Thanks for the comments!

Yeah, grabbing screenshots is a pain (It's what I had to do when I did a Seiken Densetsu 3 sprite comic) :/
Actually, they're not that bad at normal resolution. But, you definitely don't want to scale them by anything other than a factor of 2--You end up losing color data, because one pixel is trying to express two or three different colors... And so, blurriness happens
On the other hand, I am by no means a sprite artist (I just happen to hang out on Wesnoth's art forums, so I've picked up a fair amount of knowledge about sprites), so if you come up with your own way that looks good and disagrees with what I'm telling you here, that's probably the way to go
You're welcome!

Uploaded a scale sample sheet to [link] - my old eyes can't see much of a blurring difference between 2.0 and 2.5, but 2.5 is definitely more pixelated. Pays your money takes your choice...

Hm... Somehow, I remember the sprites being bigger than that--You're right, normal size is kinda small. I'd say go with 2x resolution, if only to get rid of the pixelation

Yeah, 2.0 is good. Nice work!

Thanks It looks a wee bit small to me, I'll experiment with scales between 2.0 and 2.5, see if there's a happy balance.
