Description I've had this pendant in an unfinished state for a while and have decided to finish it and put it up. Originally I polished parts, then most of it, but in the end I decided to go with a fine scratch/matte finish.
The large brass gear is very old and I am fairly certain that you
will rarely, if ever, see another one like it. The smaller gear and the piece with the ruby bearing are both from an antique pocket watch, under the small gear is a small fine silver disc.
The screw is 0-80 stainless steel and is threaded through the gear as well as a nut on the back. The ring/bail is 14k gold filled and the brass chain is for display only.
The pendant weighs 12 grams/0.423287543 ounces() and has a diameter of 28mm or 1 1/8in.

The title and the way that there's little slots of the side make me wonder if you can move the pendant. Can you slide it along into one of those little slots or is it stationary?

Unfortunately you can't, the piece that holds the gear in the center has to be stationary because the gear rotates in the ruby bearing.

There is just something about this that is fantastic! For some reason this makes me think of Gears of War.

One of the nicer steampunk watchpart pieces I've seen. Very nicely done.

The colours contrast well, I must say... In the sense of the main subject matter and the background, anyway.

I like the central part of the circle, if you get what I mean. It's the area where there seems to be loads of different colours?

The design itself is interesting... it's quite cool how it's shaped, like.

Thank you! The central part has the polished silver disc on the bottom, so it reflects all the colors in the surroundings

Well, you know I think this is lovely as I told you so before. I really enjoyed seeing the work in progress as well... It's a disk and then a couple of hours later, BAMM you turn it into a necklace. Impressive is an odd word, but I really am impressed with the work you do So yeah, this is lovely!

Thank you! This is actually one of my least favorite chain styles but it fits the bill. If I have some luck it will be sunny today so I'll take a real photo

I think it depends on what you make. Wheat and spiral are my favorites for two reasons A) I think they look nice with my wrapping styles and B) They eat hair less than box chain and box chain relatives!

That is amazing work! I love the finish to it as I am very partial to old gears. I also love the small pieces of stone. Absolutely lovely!

Thank you very much! Technically there are 2 stones in the ruby bearing, but only one is visible
