Description
In the early days of the Coalition, before it became the United Federation of Planets, Captain Archer of the NX-01 Enterprise had many adventures figuring out what the fuck he was doing...Seriously. I liked the show but it was funny how the early crew wasn't "restricted" by the Prime Directive but still didn't follow any kind of rule anyway.

They way I understand it, the Prime Directive didn't come into effect till almost the end of the Daedalus-class. Supposedly, the Horizon- mentioned in "A Piece of the Action" was in service just prior to it taking effect.

True. And yet, the Horizon was responsible for the whole "Gangster" society Kirk and company ran into. I've often wondered what would have happened if they'd left some other book behind...
