In life drawing, I'm developing a weird scrawling, exaggerated drawing style, and I thought it would be fun to try some fanart in that style. Unfortunately, I think that putting a dark outline on it killed a lot of it. The original is here: [link] , and I think I would have been a lot happier with it if I had just fixed the anatomy errors in the original in that same style, then coloured that. I get the feeling that my art style is going one way, and my clean-up style is just staying the same; it's really holding me back.At any rate, it's still different than anything I've ever done, so that's something, at least.

Dark outlines, are great. I like 'em in these kind of works. I don't know why, but I like 'em. And I really like the pic, bit SPS, but that's ok. Only one thing, Yoshimitsu is way better than Kunimitsu. Though he looks odd.

I really like her muscles in the torso. Looks like she just knifed someone, I'd guess?
And I wouldn't say her butt is too big, but I'm the wrong person to ask

did she just stab someone with the shurikan, my only probablem is her stance, either i'm just screwd up, or her but is too big.

Well everyone else said it already but the line work doese a lot to bring this image out. I really am loving this style you decided to adopted. The exaggerated features are amazing. Another thing I like about it is the rough feal to it. All in all it's just simply amazing!

I am equally impressed with the lineart! It's the exact style i'm loving these days and you've done so well with it. The mask and thickness around the hands is beautiful and really enhances the soft colouring. It reminds me of the unlockable artwork you find when you complete certain games (like!namco concept art! lol) I love it!

I saw this over at TZ, but I'll definitely give you my comment here--I'm gonna have to agree with skyboy16 about the lineart though--I don't think it's detrimental to the picture at all. In fact, it seems to compliment the colouring style quite well! Speaking of, I'm really digging the job you did with the colours--those highlights are hot, but it's not overdone. And dude, it's Kuni.

Honestly, I was going for loose, discoordinated movement, but I am still suffering from Stiff Pose Syndrome (more commonly known as SPS; it's a very severe, very common illness among artists and -- I hear -- actors alike), so now it just looks as if she's leaning on a gigantic invisible cane. *sigh* Oh, well!

Nope, no bigger picture. Maybe I'll paint a gigantic candy cane in and post it again as a Christmas pic.
A cure for SPS would be nice. Until then, I'll just have to do it the old fashioned way: lots and lots and lots of effort.

Indeed it is, and good for you I say for pushing yourself in this manner - I personally hope we get to see more of this (and hey, anything involving tekken fanart's always a bonus ^_^)
