Well, it seems like DA has screwed up my animation so that sometimes you see the thumbnail teaser instead of the full picture, so I'm uploading a smaller version that needs no thumbnail. SUCK IT, DEVIANTART! You can't beat me!Related content

I had a street urchin fetch these for me this morning in exchange for a farthing... charity, eh wot? I have to say they are quite smashing! Perhaps I should have asked the little blighter where he found them before I had him carted off.

Photoshop and Imageready. I drew the linework on one layer, colored the characters on a layer beneath, and inbetween I drew 33 layers of shading from different angles. Each frame contains a combination of two of those lighting layers from the different light sources with a copy of the single overhead light source. Then I laid out the frames in sequence inside of imageready along with repositioning the glowing lightsources, which were simple radial gradients over a black background that are set to a blending effect that hides the black parts. Then I exported the whole thing as an animated GIF. So, the short answer is that it's basically a frame-by-frame hand-drawn animation and I put a lot of sweat into it.

No, dreams are never nice things for me. My dreams look like Tool videos. Parts of the upcoming Resident Evil 4 look exactly like some re-occuring dreams I had when I was younger, especially the thing in the lake and the big man in the village.

I never dream about drowning because something under the water always eats me before that can happen! I can't swim all that great, but I often dream that I can float in the air and fly a little. But I can't control it well yet.

Last night I had a good dream about hanging out with a girl and snuggling with her and rubbing noses and stuff. And reading hellboy comics together. It was very sweet. I never have dreams like that. It made me very sad to wake up.

Ahh, AvP. Fond memories of playing online. Crawling up a wall, hiding on the ceiling, then dropping on top of a human soldier and biting his head off. Those were the days!
