done for Exalted Rulebook 2nd edition. (by WhiteWolf Publishing)This was used for the cover.
I did this months ago around october05, n now i hate it, lol

From left to right: Arianna (Ariande, Adriana? It's been a while), Swan, Panther, Harmonious Jade, and Dace. Respectively Twilight, Eclipse, Zenith, Night, and Dawn castes. However, these are the character designs from nearly a decade ago, 3E will introduce an entirely new cast.Β

The fabled characters from the cover! I have found the artist! (This picture will never let me forget how scrawny my Zenith is compared to theirs) I love this picture, apparently enough to hunt it down on Deviant Art when I saw it! I know this is forever and a day after you put it up, but it's still an awesome picture. Especially the Eclipse, he is my favorite.

you hate it? but it was good enough to go on the frount cover of the book, i really like it! ^^ i'm gonna start playing in a campaine really soon and i really like the art work so far! ^^

Man GREAT job indeed. Very very nice piece of art. Although i haven't had a chance to play Exalted i have lots of artwork from the books, but this one. I mean *#$% your whole gallery rocks!

Well, I can see several problems, really, so I can see why you hate it.
Arianna looks ok, Panther's face is kinda scary, Dace... Dace looks like he lost a few pounds, Swan looks ok but his mighty sock-puppet stance makes me giggle, and Harmonious Jade just... I dunno. Forehead of doom o_o
(The FA incarnation pic is much better, but art aside, it looks like a 1000 years couldn't make Swan look better. I wonder if it's an Eclipse thing now.
I wonder, have you thought about trying to remake it and see if you can get better results?

It looks like you had to use the pre-existing Exalted designs. Was that part of what you were told to do? I just think that given free reign, you could've done better designs than theirs. Somethin' more Murata-esque.

Definitely one of the coolest renditions of Panther (black dude), Dace (golden sword man), Harmonious Jade (black lady in the front), Swan (mr. kung fu), and Arianna (book lady).
Yes I'm a geek, and yes this is a little different to Exalted more usual anime-ish style (maybe they're shifting away from that for 2nd), but I still love it.

hmmm, theres quite a buttload of awesome detail, but the front ladies left hip does not compute for me, its dislocated. i definitly could not do better, but i also dont want to splurt out zombie compliments. i think the beads in the ladies hair are wonderful, colorful, and well placed.
