Description
The first half-decent map I ever made. It's small and it doesn't look too nice, but it's alright. The borders of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia are weird, though, primarily because they're exactly the same as their borders from our world, which is nigh-on impossible, given how things happened differently in this world. Here's the original description I wrote:
"The Baltic Confederation, prior to the start of the Second Great War.
After the First world war it was decided by the victorious powers that Germany and Russia's Baltic access should be removed, several German and Russian areas were made independent or were ceded to nearby powers in order to achieve this. Shortly afterwards the Baltic Alliance was formed to protect these new nations against any future attacks and to promote their economic wellbeing.
When Austro-Hungary annexed the East German Federation [one of three states given the name 'Germany' after the remnants of the German Empire were carved up by the vengeful British] the Baltic Alliance feared for its safely, both militarily and economically, so they formed the Baltic Confederation, with a united military force, foreign policy, currency and free market.
Only three members of the Baltic Alliance have decided to not join the other members in forming the B.C., the first, Pommernia, has done so primarily because it likes its newly found independence, and is loathe to give it up. The Free State of St. Petersburg experienced a Communist coup, and now refuses to join the B.C. because of their economic beliefs, though they maintain good relations and an alliance with the B.C. Finland, however, has become rather isolated of late and has broken off its alliance with the other Baltic states. It is believed by some that a secret war is waging in Finland between the Communists, controlling their agents from Leningrad, and the Swedish, who wish to annex Finland back into their Kingdom.
Recent military movements on the Austro-Hungary and South German border, in addition to the Munich incident [where a unit of Austrian soldiers "accidentally" crossed the border during a "training exercise", making it all the way to the outskirts of Munich itself before realising their "mistake" and being apprehended by what small army South Germany was allowed under the Treaty of London] have meant the South German Federation has recently signed an alliance with the Baltic Confederation in the hopes of protecting itself against a possibly Austrian invasion.
It's 1932 and the powderkeg of Eastern Europe is ready to blow."

An Estonian-Finnish confederation would make more sense as the Estonians do not feel related to the Balts, because they aren't Baltic. They are Finnic people.

What's up with Scania and Gotland not being Swedish?
I live in Scania and I don't want to speak Danish. It's an ugly language.
(lol)

Well Denmark ruled Scania historically, that said I never actually worked out a working timeline for this map: it was just a random little map.
