Description
So! Reference sheet for Sigma and Xi. AGAIN. I think this is the third ref sheet I make for these two... I had to get their stylized versions down~ :'D went with markers this time, I'm sure the colours I use with markers are more accurate than the ones I use on the computer! also, lineless stuff with markers is the cutest thing, I love how it looks ;v;Now for some notes I didn't write up there:
• Xi buys the red goggles later in the story so she can match Sigma.
• Sigma never takes off his goggles when in public. If you are lucky enough to see him without them, it's because he trusts you! or you broke into his house and found him there by surprise
• The sunglasses are for more formal and/or serious occassions.
• They are about the same height. (I'd say about 1,70m...) Sigma has the average height for a man, Xi is taller than the average girl.
Aaaaand I think that's it---if you have any questions, feel free to ask U v U!
Off you go!

do the prismacolour markers bleed through the paper?

Prisma markers tend to bleed through most papers, unless it's a really thick one! they bleed through all the paper I use, at least.

FFFF YES when I went to the US (back in 2008!) I visited this huge art supply store which sold Prismacolors individually (here I can only buy the sets), and I was like OH GOD GOTTA TAKE ALL OF THEM-- Dad only let me take 10 haha x'D I wish they sold them individually over here, I don't know what I'm going to do when they dry ;___;

Ah dude! Linelessness with markers is adorable. Though I have to say I'm absurdly impressed you can get your colors that even. o_o
I need to get my markers out again. I've totally ignored them since I got Corel Painter |D

they are both so cute! and so it is your style!
how do you make this lineless effect? When I use the marker over the pencils line, it gets blurred
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
kurisquare In reply to K3LCH4N [2011-03-31 22:21:13 +0000 UTC]
Well, I guess it depends on the markers and the paper! :V thick paper is better when working with marker, they bleed a lot on regular paper, which makes everything look blurry >__> all that, and being fast when colouring the edges! otherwise you'll put too much ink and it'll blur a little bit.

haha! you're working with summations? I worked with that last year, I laughed every time I had to write Sigma and no one knew why xDDD

Yup, summations, geometric sequences, all that stuff. XDD
That must've been odd, someone asks you why you're laughing, and then you point at a sigma. XD

what---wait, you mean it for the turtlenecks? xD actually it's more because of a love for turtlenecks, rather than a hate for necks... I'm obsessed with turtlenecks and sweaters and scarfs in real life, ahaha 8DDD;;

ahaha, I know the feeling xD I used to be that way with arms...everybody, long sleeves now! YES. I actually like drawing arms now, but I still draw long sleeves...wherever my characters live, it's winter all year long! XDDD wish I could live there, I hate summer with my life

AtomicAzure In reply to kurisquare [2011-03-31 01:48:37 +0000 UTC]
Necks, hands and feet are the worst. I can draw them out well if I take the time and draw circles for every little knuckle and other shape, but for cartooning it's ironically harder xP

kurisquare In reply to AtomicAzure [2011-03-31 01:52:32 +0000 UTC]
oh my god FEET. If there's something I can't draw AT ALL, it has to be feet 8DDD; I can't draw hands with circles, it's either cartoon hands or drawing from life xD which usually only works for my right hand...when I need refs of my left hand I have to take photos XDDD;;;

Gloves and really huge shoes dominated the first few years of my drawings D; My serious images all looked like clowns!
In school I'm like the creepy drawing girl, cause my nose is always in a book, doodling, and staring at people trying to get the shape of their hands/face/nose whatever xD

Creepy drawing girl xDD I think that's cool, actually! I always feel tempted to draw people I'm with, but I'm too worried about what they might think about my art if I try to draw them and adfdgf ;3; why do people insist on wanting to see my sketchbooks aahhh----
