Description
For those who wanted to look at the character icons up close, I made this in a larger resolution. Unfortunately, the icons are blurred by now because of multiple resizing. At least you can see the 3 hours I spent trying to draw them *shot*

Yeah, I was thinking "didn't you already did this a while ago?" Though if I have to be honest, I prefer the previous art style, since it's cuter, and the new eyes is sort of hard to see-- I almost thought everyone was wearing contact lenses lol.

I actually had wanted to adopt this style for a while now, with more mature-looking faces and such. You could say this is the group in their teen years? xD
And the eyes, yeah, I dunno. I just kinda like to do them without the pupils now. Stylistic preferences perhaps. Contact lenses though... that could work xDD

Personally I want to have a more mature-looking style as well, rather than super cute, but at the same time I STILL prefer cute styles. It's very difficult for me to decide on a style-- I want cartoony, but not TOO cartoony. Realistic, but not too realistic... and the same goes with anime-looking. As a result I can't focus on one thing and... well, right now I'm just using whatever I'm already comfortable with.
I also want a style that's easy to draw, like Regular Show, Gumball, and Adventure Time, but at the same time I think those styles are a bit TOO lazy... Geez I'm one bundle of contradicting desires, and I'm glad you decided the style you want already lol.

Hehe, you know, I still haven't decided on a style actually. Only that I'm comfortable with this one. And being indecisive can be a good thing too, because it means you are adaptable and can draw in almost any style that you like. At least I tried to, speaking from my own experience

Ooor, you can end up not drawing anything, like me right now XP. Though I just really don't have the spare time for drawing... it's not only drawing, I also want to design games, maybe I'm just too ambitious. (That's why I'm also partial to a quick-and-easy-to-draw style, ability mass produce means more time for other stuff.)
What would be your ideal art style though? I want something balanced, but slightly more cartoony than realistic. Cute but not so cute that nobody can take it seriously.

Hmm, for me, I would like to have this anime-like style, like how some Japanese artists are drawing. But as I said, I like a lot of styles, so I don't mind trying out everything except realism xD

Yeah, realism is impossible lol.

The Phoenix Wright and Persona 2 art style would be a near ideal "balanced style" for me (Persona 3 & 4 are a little too "anime"), but... well, I guess I still need to make time to study them. I do think they're probably too much toward the realistic side for me to adapt quickly, or at all.
