Description "... him what he said"

idea is from that side I learnt finnish (one of from many) it was just telling differences between finnish and other languages, tell a lot o thing, and says, it is important to say letters long or short because it can has different meaning if I say it wrong... and this was the example for it
(I read it long time ago.. but yesterday I got the idea to draw it xD)

by meanings I thought RusFin would be perfect for it xD

meaning (fail translation lol):
Finland: I will meet you tonight
Russia : I will kill you tonight

Yeah, pronouncing the vowels in right lenght IS important... As a Finn I tend to forget that until I hear foreigners speak. But really nice and adorable comic, indeed!

Oh god, that literally killed me! X'''D
That's one fancy thing about Finnish, leave one letter off and the whole meaning is different~! X''D
And yeah, it's "I'll meet you tonight." and "I'll kill you tonight" X3

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

kurokawa-ayumi In reply to MelanieVimpula [2011-07-17 21:07:51 +0000 UTC]

LOL >:Đ
yeah, I must be careful with it xD

(in hungarian there no different between "I meet you" and "I will meet you" OTL)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

MelanieVimpula In reply to kurokawa-ayumi [2011-07-17 23:57:28 +0000 UTC]

Yup, it would be pretty awkward mistake to make! X''D

(In Finnish neither, but in english it translates "I will meet you" anyways~ :3)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

kurokawa-ayumi In reply to MelanieVimpula [2011-07-18 00:13:44 +0000 UTC]

my bro make fun of me many time with similar situations like this xD

(then I didn't made mistake xD wait.. we have.. "talΓ‘lkozok veled este"... "talΓ‘lkozni fogok veled este" but both means I will meet you... but the first it the "I meet you to night" but it sounds so wrong in english xD sorry I was just thinking xDxD)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

MelanieVimpula In reply to kurokawa-ayumi [2011-07-18 00:30:33 +0000 UTC]

Haha, tapatko usein ihmisiΓ€ iltaisin? >:3

(Nope, you didn't, but it sounds better in english when the will is added~ "Tapaan sinut illalla"..."Aion tavata sinut illalla" Looks like there's no "I meet you tonight." in Finnish... ...It's okay, it's interesting to see hungarian aswell~ X3)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

kurokawa-ayumi In reply to MelanieVimpula [2011-07-18 00:59:27 +0000 UTC]

Now I don't really understand this...
in writting it is more interesting in hungarian, like "talΓ‘l-tΓ‘lal" (to find - "place dishes on desk" [<-I dunno the right word]) but if a non-hungarians says it, we can't understand well which they say xD the english 'a' is like between the hungarian 'a' and 'Γ‘'... (in my finnish book I read the "the a is a and the Γ‘ is aa in finnish" but hearing a lot of finnish, I don't say same xD same to "e-e and Γ©-ee" but totally same with i-i Γ-ii this is totally right, but there is no word that has different meaning with long or shot I)

again sorry xD

MelanieVimpula In reply to kurokawa-ayumi [2011-07-19 12:31:54 +0000 UTC]

I said: Tapatko ihmisiΓ€ usein iltaisin? = Do you often kill people at night? X3

Oh, that's weird~ But it's sometimes hard to understand what foreginers say in your language and the accent may do it even harder to understand~
But yeah, in Finnish we don't use Β΄ nor ` marks, but letters with those things are said as long wovels in Finnish~
Once I listened to one latin song, this was my comment in halfway of it:
"Kappas~! NiillΓ€ on ihan oma sana veljessurmalle~ Tuo kertoo paljon heidΓ€n kulttuuristaan...~"
"Fancy~! They have own word for murder between brothers~ That tells a lot about their culture...~"
I guess you can see the irony here... X'''D

No apologizing, rambling is good!
