Another fly, a live one this time, and it was more still and a lot better model than my dead one
I have no idea of what was wrong with it, it just stood there - drinking or eating whatever it is he drinks or eat - even though the lens where just a few centimeters away from it, and moving backwards and forwards while I tried to get the focus right.
Post-process:
Lightened a bit and cropped to square format in camera raw. Adjusted the curves on a lot of different curves layers, one for the whole picture, one for the bubble, one for just the body of the fly, one for the background and one for the eye.
Added three black and white layer set to soft light one on the whole picture (30%), on eonly on the eye (70%) and one on the background (40%). LIghtened up the edges a bit with lens correction.
Sharpened.

I actually didn't do so much, even though one might get the impression of it by looking at the post-processing info
Mainly just lightened and turned up the contrast, but of course turning up the contrast can make a huge difference!
