Description
Another fly. Sitting on a plate with some strawberry jam. Taken with my new canon 60mm macro lensPost-processing:
Lightened and turned up the contrast a bit in camera raw. Adjusted the curves a bit,one for the head of the fly, and one curves layer only for the eyes. Added two black and white layers, one set to overlay (50%) on most of the picture, and one set to screen (50%) on everything except for the jam and the head of the fly.
Sharpened and cropped the picture a bit.

Jeg er utrolig fornΓΈyd med det nye objektivet mitt, det tar skarpere bilder enn jeg faktisk hadde forventet

When you say bright light, do you mean too bright ?
I'm really happy with my macro lens, but I doubt there will be any bug pictures in a while, there just isn't as many flies here in the south-east as on the west coast

Nah, it works for the shot. If it was supposed to just be a shot of the fly then it's too bright. But I'm guessing you wanted something a bit different, so it's all good.

Was it difficult catching the picture of the fly?

It was a bit difficult getting the focus right and holding the camera steady, but the fly was pretty helpful as it was standing more or less completely still, preoccupied by the jam
