Page 40- This comes right after what I posted lately. Crappy backgrounds, yay! Hey, that's why there's some dialogue! I'm glad the dialogue will hide the background in the last panel. I think the only thing that really works correctly are the expressions. Well, it's always been my favourite part, drawing expressions! And I changed the girl's name Jenny into Emily. I think it suits her personnality better... Blah...Related content

I really liked the background in the last pannel you did a good job on it. And yeah you must like drawing expressions cuz that is always one of my favorite parts about your pictures which I am sure you have figured out by now

Incredible work! I love the story idea and hope you do get this placed with a publisher.
Though, most publishers want to see more like five or six sequential pages (lettered) when submitting. Something to consider.
Oh, and most people do their baloons in illustrator. Their is a great book on this you might want to pick-up.

Expressions are wonderful, I think the second panel might be a little tight, the grab was a bit confusing, just with the spacing you gave us in the establishing shot... and maybe even pull out a bit on the third one, just to really give the idea of her hitting the wall more... oomf,

Your comic pages say so much even when they don't have dialogue added ... the expressions are always so vivid and ... expressive!
I love the sense of action and movement in this. So much is going on! I love the characters as well ... Emily seems very feisty and clever and the guy ... well, I can see a lot of Snape in him and that's always good!
I look forward to seeing more of this, even if the full version won't be around for a while yet

thanks for the comment! ok here is a hint: he's quite a popular detective. He hires that woman to be a crime scene photogapher. She ends up being clever than he is and solves case before he does (naturally, there's something underneath). So in this scene, he gets angry because he doesn't to see his career ruined by a woman. And she answers he never did deserv an ounce of success, because he's a murderer. That's when they stare at each other. He realises there is something fishy, so he tells her he's eventually going to find out. That's about it!

wah!! trop cool!!! c'est une scene de plus d'action, les decors ont pas besoin d'être super impressionnants et full details parce que c'est pas ca l'intérêt. C'est dans ces cas-la qu'il faut que l'action soit claire et que les expressions soient super interessantes!! wah j'aime full cette page, et je trouve rien de fautif

vrai, c'est pas toujours dans les 5 premieres pages que les trucs interessants se passent, mais je pense qu'ils veulent ca pour voir si c'est accrocheur dès le début..? Quest-ce que tu envoies a un éditeur? Des exemples de pages, le storyboard...?

j'envoie ces deux pages, quelques recherches de personnages, et les 10-15 premières pages de storyboard avec le synopsis et description des persos. Je pense que le tout partira au plus tard à la fin de la semaine prochaine! David doit encore faire les bulles, je ne sais pas comment les faire avec photoshop! Suis nulle...
