I just finished a new battle background for mountains.I wanted to test it out so I did this.
Personally, I think this is awesome, it's such a shame Nintendo wont use proper battle backgrounds.
Hope you like! Turtwig and Bastiodon rule btw.
I did NOT make the pokemon sprites/animations. Nintendo did. Credits to Jefelin for the rips.

Definitely, but Gamefreak has been way too scared of breaking the series' conventions for a long time. One of the things I'm most excited for in the new gen is that they finally seem to be getting rid of that stupid attitude.

If only we could hack Pokemon B/W or D/P/Pt to have this as a regular background battle. If only.
It looks way more realistic than the official battle's layout even if there are still the circles that are well-implemented in this.

That would've been awesome. They did that in B2/W2 with the movie sets, but it would be nice if it had these backgrounds for every area.
At least X and Y seem to be doing that.

nintendo is probably improving games little by little because if they improved it all at once then there will only be new pokemon without anew gaming experiance in future games, but still this background is pure perfection.

dude no kidding, if nintendo won't give us a more hands-on battle style, then the least they could do is improve on what they got. i found the battle backgrounds for bw disapointing, there's very little difference between generations 4 and 5

Put this at Rpg Maker or Game Maker , i feel Game Maker can do that animations and that background.

Hell yea! I would have been able to stand the nauseating graphics more if the battles were like this! (For some reason, when I played Pokemon Black, I got sick in a battle when it kept panning all over the place and whenever I entered a building and it zooms in. That's why I got rid of it!)

I had to do both at the same time frame by frame.

I had to add some padding. Luckily they were close to the same length, so I just kinda did turtwig backwards a bit and forwards a bit until it looped.

for me the background is kinda like a famigliar from keitai denjuu telefang im not kiding but it's true, im fell like the original backgrond create from nintendo .-.
