Seeing how nintendo no longer want to do pokemon following you...I might take it upon myself to do all new ones!I seriously don't understand how they could remove this much-loved feature. Nearly everyone I know loves this in hg/ss. All they had to do was make it optional, and let you select any pokemon from your party to follow (not just the first).
The sprite is just a rip from BW screenshots.
Feel free to use this if you like. I know people like making those animated trainer + follower pokemon avatars.
I've got the other two starters nearly finished too.

I'd say you beat them to it so they gave up XD The sprites that were overwolds were simple (Disincluding compulsary pokemon such as legendaries) in BW2 so I guess they really laid back in the making of it, I do wish they had the overworld party pokemon following you still enabled in the game considering they did it in HGSS it would've made the game the best so far.

Nintendo dumped a good idea I loved it when you could take walks with your Pokemon it made it seem like they were apart of the adventure as well plus I loved walking with my favorite Pokemon I'm gonna miss this feature it's one reason why I loved HG and SS

I came across a pic that involved the Zorua event that showed Zorua and Celebi outside of their pokeballs just like they do in HG/SS. That could mean that we can still have pokemon following us, but you can decide whether or not to have it outside.

I like, its very cute, but what makes you so sure that the feature won't be included? sure there are short scenes of walking in town and such, but the game is still in production, and is very likely that even the current pokemon sprites revealed may not even be in the final product you know. :3

Nope sorry, I've always made overworlds long before HGSS. It was only logical to make them for the new pokemon since they didnt seem to be in the screenshots.

I'm hoping it's just because they either don't want to show what it looks like when Pokemon follow you around yet. OR, because you simply can choose in the game whether you like the Pokemon to follow you or not. (Like you're not 'forced' to have the first Pokemon in the party out all the time, like in HGSS).
They better not remove the Pokemon-outside-of-the-Pokeball. I've become too addicted to it D8 I feel so lonely whenever I play one of the other Pokemons games, where you're only yourself walking around.

I don't see the logic unless the new animations/ 3D feature are to blame. I image the ide/attack animations add a lot and maybe 500+ sprite in a total of 8 each was to much.
I think i'd trade the idle/ attack animations for the over world pokemon any day.
